Lacson Street, Bacolod City, Neg. Occ. Phil. 6100. The tasks that was assigned to me during my OJT are verifying and filing BIR Compliance reports, SEC Files (GIS, Audited financial statements and ITR), Statement of Accounts of each clients and Check Vouchers; Prepared the outgoing letters; Answering phone calls (Front desk); Filled up the BIR forms (BIR form 0605 and 2307); Prepared the notes to financial statements: Computing VAT Payable and VAT amount; and encoding the clients records. My major accomplishment is to experience what is the actual work place or the corporate accounting world. It made me feels like I'm an employee in the company and realized that in the very near future I'm going to be an employee to a company. | wasn't involved in solving a particular issue but | witnessed it and learned something. There were new employees that conduct an audit to the actual place of the clients and because they are just new in the company they are not aware on how fo compute their audit fee and overtime. | witnessed how the admin and the other auditors helped the new employees to compute and to assess their accounts. With that | learned something that the client will be the one to pay the audit fee and for the overtime the company will be the one to pay to the auditors. They are staffs and supervisor that helps us to perform the tasks that was assigned to us and itis really helpful to have their presence to guide us to perform well in our duties. The challenges that | faced during my OJT are balancing my time and enhancing my speaking skills. Balancing my time, | should be punctual so | have to wake up early and sometimes we have school activities that needs me to out early so | have to replenish it with overtime to the next days. Enhancing my speaking skills, | was assigned to be a front desk assistant so | have to be alert in answering phone calls and to enhance my speaking skills to have a better communication with the caller. The lessons that | have leamed in my academic course were very useful that made me apply them to be more efficient and effective in performing the tasked assigned to me. To be specific | applied the learnings that | have learned in my Business taxation subject because there are times that we are given a task to compute for the VAT payable and VAT amount and especially in encoding & filling up the BIR forms. Ill, Organizational Operations BDO Roxaz Cruz Tagle and Co., CPAs is composed of 3 sections, Partners office, admin and auditors section. 1 employee in the partners' office, 4 admins and 12 auditors, total of 17 employees. The organization's target market is to provide financial service in audit & assurance, tax, consulting and business services & outsourcing. They draw on deep industry experience to help their clients navigate through a changing and highly competitive industry. Their professionals deliver audit, tax, and consulting services to a wide range of financial institutions, asset managers, broker dealers, and insurance companies. They provide proactive guidance and value-added services to their clients, including comprehensive compliance and litigation support services. The theories and concepts that | have learned in school made apply to the tasks that was assigned to me. Especially in taxation, we are ing to fill up some BIR forms and to compute its taxes. With this practic knowledge | am already familiar with some forms. In this practicum it gives me more knowledge about filing, updating and renewing the clients' records. IV. Conclusion The experiences that I gained in my practicum indeed met my expectations. in this practicum it develops and prepared me to enter the corporate accounting world. The experiences will help me a lot to find out the parts of me that needs enhancement and also this experiences made me prepared about the real world as an accounting student as of now but in the near future | will be a part and employee of this accounting and business world. The skills that | acquired during my practicum are speaking skills and time management. Speaking skills, | have to enhance and be more Confident in answering phone calls because I'm talking to the clients and others are not just client they are big time client. So | have to be more fiuent and alert in giving and receiving information. And Time Management, school activities and academics must be balanced. They are times we have to out early so we need to replenish it with an overtime to the following day. And also in academics, sometimes there are a lot of quizzes and the tasked that was assigned was very ting and | have to study or review after duty so | have to plot what | must need to do so that | can gain some rest first and be prepare to my quiz. This practicum impacted to my career goals in a way that it made me ‘aware and prepared to enter the corporate accounting world. With these experience it made me realize that this is me, | belong to the business world. Honestly, | can see myself that | am an employee of a business or accounting company. These experiences excited to have my first job as | graduate this school year. Vv. Recommendation BDO Roxaz Cruz Tagle and Co., CPAs is one of an excellent accounting and auditing firm. Not just to their service that they provide but their employees and staffs are very determined and in love with their works that you will be inspired by them on how they are hardworking with passion and love to their career. And there are a lot of agustinian products in this company. So, | recommend the company as venue for OJT by the next batch. | would like to recommend to improve the OJT program of CABECS, assessment tools for pre and post stages so that every trainee will gained more knowledge to take their practicum. And also monthly assessment, in order that the practicum advisers will be aware of the students monthly report of their duties and also that the students will be guided by the adviser on the monthly performance.
