All LAOs/RAOs

A review of out standing audit objections has been carried out by this office
revealed that as per AAC-2012-13, audit objection to a tune of 15642 were
outstanding in LAOs/RAOs with oldest date of 1980-91

After examination of the objections it is observed that out of the total

outstanding 20% of the objections were related to non- maintenance/improper
maintenance of record, another 10% related to minor over-drawal of rations and
about 5% were in the nature of opinion/advice.

It was also observed that only 3 cases of MFAI and 1 IAR point had been
reported, this has been seriously view by the head of the office and express his
concern to the current state of working of LAOs/RAOs and directed the
undersigned to issue strict guidelines in this matter.

In the view of the above all the LAOs and RAOs are directed to review the
outstanding audit objections and the settle objections of the nature mentioned
above. Those Objections which are of non- maintenance/ improper
maintenance of record and minor over drawal of rations and opinion and advice
may be settled with in as early as possible and progress report on the same may
be submitted weekly to this office.
It is the duty of LAOs to focus on important areas like non utilisation of assets
and misappropriation of Government revenues and the performance of the LAO
will be assessed based on MFAI and IAR reports.

This circular may be disseminated among all concerned and ensure strict
compliance.
