CULTURE:
The culture of England brings together, for example, historical
facts such as the Anglo-Saxon conquest of Celtic Great Britain; a
defeat of King Harald Godwinson at the Battle of Hastings in 1066
during the Norman Conquest; the Black Death that plagued
England in 1349 and killed possibly a third of the population; the
Wars of the Roses, which won Henry VII Tudor at the Battle of
Bosworth Field in 1485; and religious conflicts and civil war. It also
includes current costumes and references to costumes from the
past, such as the wife sale and the five o'clock tea.
FESTIVALS:

British Summer Time Hyde Park – London – June

For those who like the famous “a little bit of everythin

g”, a good idea is to go to British Summer Time Hyde
Park. The summer festival is one of the best known in
London, and takes place over two weekends with lot
s of music, cinema, theaters, cuisine and, of course, l
ots of fun!
FOOD:
BANGERS AND MASH
DANCE:
Morris Dance
A typical, essentially masculine dance, the Morris
Dance is quite traditional and consists of performing
vigorous jumps, alternating legs. The typical outfit is
outfits adorned with bell pads on the shins, as well as
accessories such as swords, scarves and sticks. The
earliest mention of dance dates back to 1448,
appearing in visits to bishops, plays, among other
situations.
MUSIC:
The Beatles:
The Liverpool boys formed one of the most successful musical
groups in history. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George
Harrison and Ringo Starr provided the good old rock and roll,
with some folk rock and psychedelic rock influences.

His most successful songs are Hey Jude, Help, Something,

Yesterday, among others that shook crowds with their
progressive influences and social revolutions.

In addition to being considered the best rock band of all time,

the Beatles entered the list of the 100 most important and
influential people in the world.
TRADITIONS:
greeting protocols
Do you believe that there is no well-defined greeting
there in England? Yeah, it may sound very strange for
us Brazilians, who are so warm.

As there is no clear rule as to how to greet with a

hug, handshake or kiss, there are variations. I mean,
each one greets the way they prefer and according
to the context!

Therefore, Brazilians can be very lost at first sight.

TRADICIONAL CLOTHES:
What is the traditional dress of England?
What is England's national costume? England, unlike
Wales and Scotland, has no official national dress.
Some people think men in England wear suits and
bowler hats, but it is very unusual these days to see
anyone wearing a bowler hat.
