 Celebrate April Fool’s Day with this spring-themed cootie
catcher joke teller! Target fine motor skills, quantitative
skills, visual motor integration, eye-hand coordination, and
more. This material includes three cootie catcher templates
and instructions for preparation and use.

• Instructions for folding a paper cootie catcher
• 3 spring-themed cootie catcher templates

How to Prepare and Use:

1. Print your desired template(s) on pages 4-6. Cut out the square along the solid lines
2. Assist your client in following the directions on page 3 to make the cootie catcher.
3. Close the cootie catcher and tell your partner to pick one of the numbers.
4. Open and close the cootie catcher the number of times that they chose
(e.g., if they choose the number three, open and close it three times).
5. Tell them to choose one of the numbers displayed in the open cootie catcher.
6. Open and close the cootie catcher the number of times that your partner selected
(e.g., if they choose five, open and close it five times).
7. Tell your partner to choose one last number.
Open the one they select and read the joke inside!
