FOREWORD

This workshop manual contains essential information regarding the specifications, con­
struction and servicing methods of the Type DG engine which is mounted on the
DAIHATSU TRUCK DELTA Series in order that you may be fully equipped with know­
ledge and technology necessary for servicing the Type DG engine. Furthermore, this
workshop manual explains such vital servicing methods in a manner readily under­
standable to every technician.
When you engage in preventive maintenance, inspection and servicing operations of the
Type DG Engine, please read this workshop manual carefully so as to make the most of
the fine performance, enhanced safety and superior economy that have been built
originally into each unit as well as to keep engine at its peaked efficiency.
