When the plugin is first loaded into your DAW, it will automatically begin the 14 day trial.

Once a license has been purchased, simply click the settings icon (cog) on the top right hand side of the utility bar,
which will launch the activation screen.

After the screen has launched, simply Insert your license into the field and click activate. IMPORTANT!! Please ensure
you have a live internet connection during activation.

Please note: When launching the plugin for the first time, the screen will give 2 options - Purchase License or Continue
Trial. If you have already purchased a license, simply click continue trial then continue to follow the above instructions.

If you want to quickly find out what Union is capable of, simply browse through the 300+ factory presets that come bundled
with the plugin. By clicking on the preset label on the top middle, the full preset browser will open, allowing you to navigate
presets by category.

Union features three separate oscillators, which you can mix together with the osc mixer on the left side of the
interface. Whilst on the right you have control of the master volume as well as the pitch bend. Increasing the
voices in the utility bar at the top right hand side of the screen will increase the polyphony.

Union features three separate Analytical oscillators, which means that they’re generated like a continuous wave that
is band limited, so without any discontinuities that would be possible in the digital world but impossible in the analog
world.

Osc 1 & 2 are carefully designed analog-style oscillators, combining the best of analog modelling and digital precision. They
allow you to choose between 6 anti-aliased waveshapes: sine, square, saw, triangle, noise, organ and metallic, feeding into
4 ‘wavetable’ effects: phaser, delay, distortion, reverb.

Osc 3 is a wavetable oscillator that lets you generate fully stereo

wavetables based on the output of osc 1 & 2 running through the
four time-based’ wavetable effects. Adding an additional layer of
harmonics in this manner, is a technique frequently used by the
world’s best sound designers to create rich and deep sounds.

Editing Oscillators

Oscillator editing can be made by pressing the magnifying glass icon found in the on the lower left of the osc screen for
oscillator 1, and the lower right for oscillator 2 and 3.

Once the pop up screen has launched you will see a screen which consists of 3 panels. Panel 1 (ADSR) is used to control
the main adsr envelope for the oscillator. Panel 2 (Mod ADSR) is used for envelope modulation settings, and Panel 3
(LFO) is used to add DAW synced modulation.

The LFO panel has options to select timing styles - straight, dotted or triplets by clicking through the icons on the left,
whilst on the right there is a time dropdown menu allows you to select DAW synced timing variants from1/32 of a bar
to 32 full bars.

Below the main edit windows, there is a row of parmeter pots. Cutoff, Resonance, Phase, Detune, Blend, M/S Balance,
Pan & Level.

Each filter has a dropdown which allows you to select multiple filter types and can be accessed by pressing the triangle
icon flyoff on directly below the parameter.

Oscillator FX and Signal Flow

Oscillator 1 & 2 feed into an fx bank containing Phaser, Delay, Distortion and Reverb. These fx add harmonics to the
wavetable generator in Oscillator 3.

When setting up these FX, it can be useful to push the values to the extreme as this will create a longer denser variance
of wavetables after hitting the generate button. You can always pull these extreme settings back after generation has
occured to make the signal useable again.

Oscillator Bypass

Each Oscillator comes with 2 ways of bypassing the

signal. You can either turn each Oscillator off using
the power icons located above the fx for Oscillators
1&2, and above Oscillator 3, or alternatively bypass
them using the speaker icons in the Osc Mixer panel
on the left side of the interface under Oscillator 1.

Please ensure Oscillators 1&2 are enabled when

pressing the generate button or the tables won’t be
created.

Modulating Oscillators

The modulation system in Union has been designed to be quick and efficient, allowing you to get great results faster
than ever before.

Inside each Oscillator control panel, every parameter has a button on the lower left which can be clicked through to
make modulation assignments.

Click the icon once and it will turn purple, indicating it has been assigned to the MOD ADSR envelope. Click again and it
turns blue, indicating it’s assigned to the LFO Envelope. Click three times and it returns to it’s deactivated state.

Once an assignment has been created, an icon will appear on the top right of the parameter. This allows you to control
the amount and direction of the modulation.

FX RACK

The FX Rack

The fx rack located at the bottom of the interface utilises a scroll system in order to maintain clear visibility on each
module icon. The rack contains 9 FX which are built from the adapted algorithms from other post fx in the SoundSpot
range.

By default these fx modules are bypassed in order to preserve CPU. To activate them simply click the power icon located
at the top left of each FX unit.

Clicking the icon in the center of the module launches the popup screen where parameters can be adjusted. To close the
edit screen for each unit, either click the X icon on the lower right of the interface, or click anywhere off the edit screen

Each fx module can be reordered by clicking the drag icon on the bottom right of the unit and dragging it left or right
and dropping into place. .

Modulating the FX Rack

To create modulation of the FX parameters, Union uses a similar

system to the Oscillator modulation, however each click reveals
a number from 1 to 4. These numbers correspond to the 4 FX
LFO’s which can be launched by clicking the FX LFO button, locat-
ed on the left side of the interface just above the FX rack scroller
display.

Once the FX LFO panel is open, you have 4 LFO’s each with time
and style settings.

Each LFO by default will load in OFF mode which indicates that
the LFO will follow the timing of your DAW.

There is also a trigger mode which when selected, trigger the

LFO each time a note is played.

The FX LFO section benefits from unlimited nodes, so there is no

limit for creativity.
