My name is Sheli Sinha Chaudhuri, Professor of Electronics and Tele-Communications 
Engineering at Jadavpur University. I had the pleasure of working with Koustav for four 
years while he was a student in one of my courses. Of all the undergraduate students 
I've taught, Koustav is among the most intellectually curious and enthusiastic. He would 
love to ask questions to clarify his doubts and never hesitated to propose multiple 
approaches towards solution to a problem.  
 
During our time together, Koustav proved to be bright, inquisitive, and diligent in his 
studies. His collaboration and leadership skills were truly impressive, and his capstone 
project on Image Forgery Detection won glowing reviews from both his peers and other 
professors. 
 
Koustav's passions extend well beyond the classroom as well. During the freshman 
year, he became a crucial part of Jadavpur University Robotics and Science Club. He 
was a crucial part of the department football team who won the Arena Tournament for 
two years straight. He handled a crucial rule of accounts and organisation of the 
Reunion of Electronics and Tele-Communication Department, SANJOG during his 
sophomore year. By the end of the semester, he leaded a team who organised the tech-
fest of Jadavpur University, SRIJAN. 
 
I am confident without reservation that Koustav would be an excellent fit for Purdue 
University's graduate community. As a tirelessly creative and passionate individual, he 
will be a productive addition to your college and department.
