We welcome you to Akshara International School and look forward to an exciting and rewarding
school year.

We provide the best possible educational environment to nurture the students and expand their
learning in collaboration with teachers and peers.

We would like to provide the guidelines to assist parents for successful school year.

School reopens on 14th June 2023 for Gr I to Gr X and on 19th June 2023 for Pre Primary

School timings
Pre Primary :
Nursery - 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM
PP-I & PP-II - 8:30 AM to 03:00 PM
All Saturdays are holidays for Pre primary students

Primary/High School:
Grades I – V - 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Grades VI – X - 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Second Saturday and Fourth Saturday are holidays.

ETZ/LSP will commence from August.

Gate Operational timings:

For students:
Morning: 8:10 AM to 8:30 AM
Afternoon: 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM
Evening: 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM

For Parents & Visitors – Entry till Admin Block

Morning: 9:30 AM to 12: 30 PM
Afternoon: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Note: Parents entry will be permitted till admin block only. Entry into the school campus
without appointment/permission is strictly not allowed.

Academics

Akshara International School focuses on blended curriculum and gives equal importance to
academics, sports, co-curricular activities and life-skills enhancement to prepare them for the
competitive world.

Co-scholastic Activities
A plethora of co-scholastic activities are organized at the school. These include projects,
presentations, symposiums, debates, quizzes, role-plays, etc. in addition to music, dance, arts,
crafts and value education, all the schedules will be shared through circulars school diary and
announcements from Mobile App.

Sport Activities
Sports and Games have emerged as the most essential ways of comprehensive development for
students, we give equal importance to sports to create sportsmanship and inculcate healthy
lifestyle

Home Work
To reinforce learning that has occurred in the classroom homework is assigned to all classes.
Students of different grades receive half an hour to one hour homework per night according
to the guidelines. It is expected that parents ensure that homework is completed regularly as
per the teacher’s direction. In addition to daily assignments it is suggested that children read
any kind of book or journal for at least fifteen minutes every night. However, we update
parents on daily basis in parent login. The schedule for the home work is given in the diary for
reference.

Language Options:
As per CBSE directive, students may choose 2 languages apart from first language English, till
class VIII. Parents should indicate their option in the application form at the time of admission:
2nd Language (Telugu/Hindi) for classes PP-II to X
3rd Language (Telugu/Hindi) for classes IV to VIII

Information Bureau
Akshara firmly believes in maintaining transparency with parents. All the Home Woks,
Assessments, CCA, PTM info, Event calender, circulars, notices, fee payment alerts,transport
detials etc. can be communicated throughParent Moble App, Emails, Phone Calls, and School
Diary accordingly. All the parents provided with online and mobile access to student’s

Uniform & Footwear
As a mark of discipline student has to maintain neat and tidy uniform to school regularly.
Uniform includes 2 pairs of regular uniform, 1 pair of sports uniform, Black VELCRO shoes and
Black socks.
Sports uniform will be issued by mid of July, Date will be intimated to you through Parent
Mobile App.
Winter Wear: Maroon pullover/sweater should be worn to sustain the winter.

Student diary, belt and ID cards will be issued in the due course.
Note : Books and uniforms vendor is available in the school premises.

For personal interactions

Appointment with staff:

Parents can meet the staff members at mutually convenient time, to discuss relevant issues and
concerns.
Monday to Saturday : 03:15 PM to 4:00PM

Appointment with Class Co-ordinator and Vice Principal:

Meeting will be arranged on all working days by prior appointment through school diary or
Parent Mobile App.
Timings: 10.00AM to 12.00 noon and 2.00PM to 4:00PM.

Appointment with the Principal:

The principal is available to parents on all working days by prior appointment through school
diary or Parent mobile app.
Timings : 03:00PM to 05:00 PM

Attendance:
Students are expected to attend the school on all working days without fail, in order to
achieve the anticipated learning outcomes. It is mandatory to submit duly signed leave letter
to the concerned class teacher in case of absence.
Giving lunch boxes during working hours are strictly not allowed, Child should carry his/her
belongings every day.
Child will not be permitted to go home during the school hours. In case of any emergency a
Written authorization from a parent and ID proof of the guardian is mandatory to handover
the Child.

Transport Facility
Akshara offers safe and secure transportation for all classes. Transport Timings, Routes and
Boarding Points will be informed well in advance.

Boarding Pass: Boarding Pass is mandatory to board the School Bus. Transportation will be
initiated within 6 working days after the payment of Transport Fee. Boarding Pass will be issued
only for those who have paid the Transport Fee along with the Term Fee.

There could be a few instances of inconvenience with regard to the transportation in the initial
days. Parents are requested to cooperate at such times.

Parent Orientation Program:

In order to enhance further details about our school, we will be conducting parent orientation
program tentatively in the last week of June. The first fifteen days of the new academic year
are crucial for students to adjust to the new surroundings, new methodology and teaching
strategies. The dates of orientation will be informed through Parent Mobile App, student diary,
E-mails.
