1. Insufficiency in time in making the progressive
training program.

Recommendations The school administrators further recommend the
following:
1. Annual conduct of training for coaches.
2. Purchase of Sports equipment.
3. Storage room for the Sports equipment.

NARRATIVE REPORT ON SCHOOL-BASED CAPACITY BUILDING FOR SPORT


COACHES

Sports is one way not only to show the skills and talents of the students but
also develop the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among individuals, thus
coaches play an important role to their development, enhancing sports performance
remains an important element of coaching. Athletes need a coach who can
effectively guide their technical, tactical and physical development to help them
improve at their sport.

In line with the Division Consultative Conference of Tournament Managers


and District/School Sports Officers, the Ramon Enriquez High School conducted a
one-day School-Based Capacity Building for Sports Coaches on September 2, 2022,
held at Ramon Enriquez High School Covered Court headed by the School Sports
Officer together with the MAPEH Department to prepare coaches on the Guidelines,
Rules of sports, Principles of sports, Attitudes, Values and Discipline in sports and
GAD in sports.

The program started by our very active and supportive Secondary School
Principal III Mr. Ricardo R. Ramiro, he motivates and lifted the moral of our coaches
with his vital speech.

The School Sport Officer Mr. Ronel M. Montillano discussed about the General
Guidelines and Rules of Sports. He emphasized the requirements needed for the
athletes to be qualified in the event, explained the new structure of the palaro
starting from School Meet to Palarong Pambansa, explicated the importance having
a Consent of the parents for the athletes training and competition proper and he
also expounded the rules of sport between training and game proper.

The second speaker Mr. Rusty E. Campomanes discussed about the Principles
of Sport. He expounded the Safety and Progression training for the athletes,
enlighten the coaches about the stages of Progressive training starting from Stage
1(light) to Stage 4(heavy).

The third speaker Mr. Wilfrido S. Serna together with his assistant Mr. Khyll
D. Hasil discussed about the Attitude, Values and Discipline of Sports. Mr. Serna
shared his Insights and expertise in the field of athletics with his 20 years length of
experience/exposure in field, coaches were overwhelmed with the knowledge and
wisdom that the speaker give out. On the other hand, Mr. Hasil explicated the
Attitudes and Values of Sports. He emphasized the Importance of Sportsmanship
and Camaraderie among athletes and coaches.

The last speaker Mr. Maidennis Mark G. Manogura discussed the Gender and
Development in Sport. He Expounded the importance of having a gender equality
among athletes and coaches, empowering women and LGVTQ+ in relation to
sports.

The program ended successfully with the guidance and support of our school
principal, wisdom of our guest speakers, and the help of the facilitators. The
coaches and facilitators were very thankful with the opportunity given to them and
express their warm gratitude to the school administrators for the financial support
for the success of this program they oath to devote their time and effort for positive
result of the upcoming district meet and onward.
