ACTIVITY NO. 1. (essay)
1. On a space provided below, on your own words explain why the knowledge
in RISKS in work place is important. Avoid erasure and incorrect spelling;
submit the illustration on or before (specific date).
 The knowledge of RISKS is important because it helps us understand
how to take steps to avoid injury. We will be less likely to suffer an
injury by knowing what the causes are and what we can do to prevent
them.

ACTIVITY NO. 2
1. On a space provided below, give at least five (5) Risks in workplace that
could later result to disaster or injuries and explain each. Avoid erasure
and incorrect spelling; submit the illustration on or before (specific date).

 Thermal stress is a common hazard in the workplace because of the extreme


temperature difference between humans and their environment. This can be
caused by working with hot or cold materials.

 Electric shock is a serious hazard in any work environment. Electric current


travels through all parts of our bodies so that we are constantly at risk of
receiving an electric shock if our clothes or hair touch metal or conductors. In
addition, if you need to perform maintenance on these lines without proper
protection it could cause severe burns or even death.

 Fire is a very dangerous threat for workers on construction sites or similar


environments where there are flammable materials around them. Many fires start
accidentally due to faulty wiring or other accidents which could easily lead to

 Skin and eye burns are the most common injuries suffered by welders in the
workplace. The heat from the arc can burn a person if their skin comes in contact

 Flying sparks can easily jump across the gap between a person and their
equipment. The spark we get from an arc welder in their workplace can also
cause burns on exposed skin if it is not protected by something like welding
gloves or clothing.
