Things Description
1. Title or T&L Unit Planning can be prepared based on the title or theme. If it is
Theme thematic, students explore the content of the lesson more
comprehensively and give students the opportunity to explore
information related to the theme in question. Pupils need to access
information, collect information, process information and evaluate the
latest information from various sources and not make the teacher the
main source of information.

2. Summary A summary of the teaching and learning activity package is an overview

T&L Unit Plan of the teaching and learning activities to be implemented in a Unit
Planning.

In general, a teacher can plan an activity package for one month (four
weeks) of teaching and learning.

Based on the overview of the content of knowledge and

products/projects that will be produced by the students contained in
the summary of this package, teachers can plan the need for resource
materials needed in advance to facilitate students to carry out
independent learning activities.

This package of teaching-learning activities can also be used as one of

the main materials in the student's learning contract with a third party
(parents/guardians).

3. Subject Apart from that, students can also make connections with the
Area knowledge gained from other subjects such as Science subjects when
learning Malay. Education that can generate students' skills to make
connections between knowledge and information learned in this way
can stimulate interest in learning among students. Students can also
apply knowledge as applied knowledge in everyday life.

The planning of topics based on themes that cross the curriculum, if

made coherently with other subjects studied by students at school, can
educate towards making the knowledge/information gained as applied
knowledge in everyday life. And students do not study a subject in
isolation.
4. Standard Learning Standards are learning outcomes that must be achieved by
Content and students in each learning unit.
Standards
Learning The Learning Standards are selected from the Primary School Standard
Curriculum Document (KSSR) published by the Curriculum Development
Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia.

The Learning Standards selected and matched with the theme and
activity package planned in the P&P Unit Planning are usually more
than two Learning Standards. This gives meaning at the end of each
teaching activity procedure
learning for a period of one student learning time (student learning
time) at school and at home, teachers need to note some Learning
Standards that need to be achieved.

The achievement of Learning Standards by students helps teachers to

be effective facilitators for students in addition to being able to
evaluate and assess the processes and products/projects produced by
students for the purpose of continuous and holistic School Based
Assessment.

5. Trigger Idea Trigger Questions (SPI) play a role in sparking curiosity and
Questions stimulating imaginative learning among students.

SPI can help guide students to find, access, collect, and process the
information needed to answer the questions posed. SPI also helps
students filter information that is relevant to the products that
students want to produce in their learning process while implementing
projects.

Learning based on the main question in this Project Based Learning

strategy fosters problem solving skills among students. Problem solving
skills are one of the 21st Century skills that students need to have
today.

The element of doing research can also be cultivated to students

through the main questions found in Unit Planning. The culture of doing
studies and research is the basis for innovation. This kind of culture can
be firmly rooted if it is started at the school level by being integrated
in teaching and learning activities at school.

The main question for a matter can trigger 'doubt for doubt' and
encourage high-level thinking among students.
6. Assessment The assessment and evaluation of student achievement must be
Plan seen based on the process and product/project produced
continuously and holistically. It is not appropriate if the summation
of a student's achievement is only made at a specific session set by
the school management.

Products/projects produced by students and collected in the

learning portfolio as well as presentations made by students are
objective evidence to the true ability and abilities of a student. In
order to avoid that the products produced by the students are made
by others, the teacher prepares a specific evaluation instrument
that records the process and learning experience of the students. A
certain weighting to the process and product/project can also be
provided by the teacher so that the summation of the marks given is
really accurate and fair.

Summative assessments and evaluations that focus on facts are no

longer relevant in today's age of information at the fingertips.
