Abdullah Badawi's political journey began in 1964 when he joined the civil service, holding various
governmental positions before becoming a Member of Parliament in 1978.
Abdullah Badawi assumed office as Malaysia's fifth Prime Minister in 2003, succeeding Dr. Mahathir
Mohamad. His tenure was marked by his commitment to socioeconomic development, good
