1. Cite the relevance of Physics in our lives.

-Physics is extremely relevant in our life as everything around us,

from land, sea, to sky- from the smallest molecules and circulation of
blood in our veins to the weather in the sky, this can all be explain
and related to physics.
Physics helps us understand how our world works and to explain the
natural phenomena around us.

Almost everything around us works base on the principles of physics

such as how our appliances and machines works- that can help make our
daily work easier.
It can help with research in medicine, such as developing medical
equipment and laboratory machines.
It is also beneficial in agriculture, transportation, communication-
using sound waves to produce sound when talking.
We apply physics in everything we do, from simple household tasks such
as cooking, to daily activities like walking.

Physics can impact and is relevant in our life more than we think.

2. Define Measurement

-In my understanding, measurement is quantity or size such as the

width, length, height, surface area, of a thing by comparing them to a
standard or fixed quantity.

3. Describe the 2 systems of measurement.

The two (2) systems of measurements are: the English and the Metric
System.

The English system of measurement created was in US. Its measurement

uses feet, inches and pounds for measuring things. The English system
helps to measure the bigger units without the need for external
measuring tools. This system of measurement is designed to increase
the difficulty of measuring length.

Metric system is easier than the English system of measurement. The

metric system uses most of the unit meter and gram and prefixes like
kilo, Millis ,and centi to count orders. This system is easy to
manipulate because all conversion are based on multiple of ten.
4. Why do we need to adapt 1 system of measurement specifically
metric system in the Phils?

We must adapt one system of measurement, namely the metric system,

since there should only be standard against which we may make
comparisons to measure.
We must apply a particular system of measurement to determine which
standard size or quantity to apply, because if we utilize several
systems, it can lead to inaccurate measurements and confusion.
If everyone uses the same system of measurement, if we say, "Measure 2
inches from the tip of your nose," we can be sure that everyone will
measure the precise size you're asking for as they follow the same
specific system to compare their measurements to.

5.1 Contrast

A. Fundamental quantities do not depend on any other quantity, they

are used as the base for other units while derived quantities are
those quantities which depend on the other quantities.

B. Scalars Quantity don’t have direction, it has only the magnitude.

This quantity changes with the change in magnitude and it is
represented in only one dimension while Vector quantity has direction
and magnitude. This quantity changes with magnitude and direction, and
it can be multidimensional.

5.2 Cite examples of:

A. Length, Mass, Time, Electric Current, Thermodynamic Temperature,

Amount of substance, Luminous Intensity

B. Temperature, Energy, Distance, Speed, Volume, Density

5.3 cite the units and symbols used for A

*Meter - (m) *Kelvin - (K)

*Kilograms - (kg) *Mole - (mol)
*Second - (s) *Candela - (cd)
*Ampere - (A)
