GC 503 Filipino Values,Culture and Personality

1. What is the relationship between human culture

and human development?
Answer: Culture has intrinsic value, but it also has
significant social and economic benefits. Culture
improves our quality of life and boosts overall
wellbeing for both individuals and communities
through better learning and health, higher tolerance,
and opportunities for social interaction.

2. How does culture bring about development?

Answer: Culture is a general term that refers to the
common rules, values, and beliefs of a particular group
of people. Thus, culture has an impact on how we
learn, live, and behave. Because of this, several
theories contend that culture plays a significant role in
determining our personalities.

3. What is human cultural development?

Answer: To better understand the complex patterns of
transmission and evolution that may be found in
human cultural traits—behaviors, thoughts, and
technologies that can be picked up from other people—
researchers have developed theoretical models, both
verbal and mathematical. Many of the early
quantitative models of cultural evolution were created
from concepts already existing in theoretical
population genetics since cultural development has
many similarities to and important differences from
genetic evolution.
4. How does culture affect human evolution?
Answer: For thousands of years, culture has shaped
how humans live and develop. A combination of
culture and genes has resulted to a number of
important adaptations in humans, including decreased
aggression, a propensity for cooperation, the capacity
for collaboration, and the ability to learn socially.

5. What is the relationship between culture and

human nature?
Answer: Human nature and culture interact in a
variety of ways, including through knowledge, way of
life, and languages as well as common standards,
values, and behaviors. As a result, cultural systems
and the environment are intertwined, and
modifications to one typically result in modifications to
the other.

6. How culture develop in a society?

Answer: The last century's progress in science and
technology has resulted in notable advancements in a
variety of fields, including biomedicine, agriculture,
communication multimedia, and energy and industrial
efficiency.
