changes in states of matter for water.
Fun Activity – Simulation of the Arrangement of Particles (Textbook – Page:
191)
5. Pupils carry out group activity - Fun Activity – Simulation of the
Arrangement of Particles with guidance.
 Form a square with the size of 2 metres × 2 metres on the floor.
Mark the measurement using coloured adhesive tape.
 The group representative will take a simulation card from set A and
set B each.
 Discuss the arrangement of particles that need to be simulated
based on the instructions written in the simulation cards.
 Move into the square space with your group members.
 Perform the simulation that has been discussed.
o Question:
State whether the change in the state of matter of water below
is “gaining heat” or “losing heat”. Explain the change in the
arrangement of the particles involved.
(a) Solid to liquid.
(b) Liquid to solid.
(c) Gas to liquid.
o (d) Liquid to gas.
6. Pupils complete the exercise based on the topic that has been
discussed
7. Pupils answer a simple quiz to recall what they have learned.
Post Lesson 8. Pupils listen to teacher’s conclusion and summaries from the whole of
today’s learning.

Clouds and Rain (Textbook – Page: 192 - 194)
1. Pupils talk about the picture and topic with guidance.
Pre-Lesson 2. Pupils listen to the teacher's explanation of the lesson objectives and
success criteria to be achieved and their relevance to the topic of the
lesson.
3. Pupils listen to teacher’s explanation of the learning content.
4. Pupils carry out discussion activity: Relate the changes in states of
matter for water in the formation of cloud and rain.
 What are the processes that occur in the changes of the state of
matter during the formation of the clouds and rain?
Fun Activity – Raining in a Glass Container (Textbook – Page: 194)
5. Pupils carry out group activity - Fun Activity – Raining in a Glass
Container with guidance.
 Pour hot water into the glass container until it is almost full. Then,
add six tablespoons of salt and stir the solution.
Lesson  Place the small clear plastic container as shown in the picture.
Development Then, cover the top of the glass container with plastic food wrap.
 Place ice cubes on the top of the plastic food wrap.
 Observe after 10 minutes.
 Discuss the results of the observation.
 Questions:
o What are the processes involved in this activity?
o State the changes in the state of matter that occur in the small
clear plastic container.
6. Pupils complete the exercise based on the topic that has been
discussed. (Mind Test – Textbook Page: 197 - 198)
7. Pupils answer a simple quiz to recall what they have learned.
 Predict what will happen if the water that evaporates from the
Post Lesson surface of the Earth does not fall as rain.
8. Pupils listen to teacher’s conclusion and summaries from the whole of
today’s learning.
