Dear Alex & Sam,

My name is Carlos Martínez and I have known Manuel through his sister since
highschool (at least since 2013) and Natalia since 2017. Between 2017 and 2018 we
were roommates and have remained very good friends.

Both Natalia and Manuel are extremely generous people. During our time living
together, they would often cook for me, and teach me recipes, and we would have
dinner together watching TV shows and drinking margaritas. They have never
been demanding or imposing either as roommates or now as friends, and there was
never any friction about house chores or division of cleaning duties, as they were
committed to keeping the house as clean and beautiful as possible. They were also
forward and timely about paying the bills, and would often take the lead when it
came to contacting the landlord about any malfunction in the apartment. I don’t
know if this detail can be of any use to you (Manu and Natalia tell me that you will
live on the ground floor of the building) but I can also assure you that their
conversation is as interesting as you can get on either side of the Atlantic. They are
both voracious readers and filmgoers and all-round very curious people.
