September 19, 2011 Stocks remain Cheap with improving Technicals The NASDAQ, NASDAQ 100 (NDX) and Philadelphia Semiconductor Index (SOX) have led stocks higher since the August 9th lows. The NASDAQ ended last week above its 50-day simple moving average at 2607 with NDX above both the 50-day and 200-day at 2250 and 2290. The SOX has an overbought daily chart and is above its 50-day at 367.67. The other major averages lag versus their 50-day and 200-day SMAs and their September 1st / August 31st highs at 11,717 Dow Industrials, 1230.71 SPX, 4779 Dow Transports and 737.64 Russell 2000. The Dow and SPX ended last week above my annual pivots at 11,491 and 1210.7, but with overnight weakness in world markets these levels may not hold today.
