TOEFL
TOEFL merupakan singkatan dari merupakan sistem tes yang sudah
terstandarisasi untuk mengukur sejauh mana kemampuan bahasa
Inggris dari seseorang yang bahasa bahasa di negara asalnya bukanlah
bahasa Inggris dan orang tersebut berkeinginan untuk bekerja atau kuliah
di negara yang setiap harinya menggunakan bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa
resmi yang digunakan.

Pada umumnya Tes TOEFL digunakan oleh institusi yang berasal dari
Amerika Serikat atau Kanada, sehingga format bahasa yang diterapkan
dalam tes adalah bahasa Inggris Amerika atau American English,
atau American Accent.
