GS200(2016) Parameter Setting

Reaction Cycle/ Times setting

 Reaction Trend: Includes ascending (ASC) and descending (DESC). Only 6 items (ALT, AST, Urea,
TBIL-vanadate, DBIL- vanadate and CO2 ) are descending reactions among the 20 common clinical test
items, while the rest are ascending reactions.

 Sample/Reagent Volume: According to experience, the recommended test volume (Sample and
Reagent) is listed below. The sample / reagent volume can be reduced or increased with the same
proportion of volume mention in the reagent manual. Please keep the total reaction solution volume
within the range of 160ul-400ul.

Volume Recommended range

Sample 2-48ul

Reagent 1 180-350ul

Reagent 2 20-200ul

Total reaction solution 160-400ul

 Reaction time: For a single reagent item, reaction time starts from the time after the sample is added
(Reaction starts) to the end of reaction. For a two-reagent item, reaction time starts from the time
after R2 is added (Reaction starts) to the end of reaction.

 Dispensing sequence in GS200(2016)

1st Cycle to dispense R1.

9th Cycle to dispense Sample, then mix (R1+S)
18th Cycle to dispense R2, then mix (R1+S+R2)
Fast mode: 24s/Cycle
Normal mode: 36s/Cycle
1 End point A/B:

End 1 End 2

1.1 Single reagent:

Blank Cycle = 7 〜 9
Reaction Cycle = 38 〜 40
or

End 1 = 10 + (Reaction time/ 36) (Round it up to the next higher integer if the result is not an integer)

End 2 = End 1 + 1/ 2/ 3

 Example: In the reagent manual, reaction time is 200s. Time converts into cycle: 200s/ 36=5.5, round
it up to 6.

 End 1 = 10 + (200/ 36) =16

 End 2 = End 1 + 1/ 2/ 3= 17 / 18 / 19

 Follow the instruction, input the Blank Cycle 7 〜 9

 Reaction cycle is set 38 〜 40 or 16 〜 18 (Or set to 16-17, in this case it will get the
mean value of point 16 and 17 as the end point value)

1.2 Two-reagent:
Blank Cycle = 16 〜 18
Reaction Cycle = 38 〜 40
or

End 1 = 19 + (Reaction time/ 36) (Round it up to the next higher integer if the result is not an integer)

End 2 = End 1 + 1/ 2/ 3

 Example: In the reagent manual, reaction time is 200s. Time converts into cycle: 200s/ 36=5.

 End 1 = 19 + (200/ 36) =24

 End 2 = End 1 + 1/ 2/ 3= 25 / 26 / 27

 Follow the instruction, input the Blank Cycle 16 〜 18

 Reaction cycle is set 38 〜 40 or 24 〜 26 (Or set to 24-25, in this case it will get the mean
value of point 24 and 25 as the end point value)
2 Kinetic:

Begin point End point

2.1 Single reagent:

Blank Cycle = 0 〜 0 leave it zero, no need to set the blank cycle
Reaction Cycle:
Begin point = 10 + (Delay time/ 36)
End point = 10 + (Delay time/ 36) + (Monitoring time/ 36)
(Round ‘Delay time’ up to the next higher integer if the result is not an integer, round ‘Monitoring time’ down
to the pre lower integer if the result is not an integer)

Example: In the reagent manual, delay time is 120s, monitoring time is 200s. Time converts into cycle: 120/
36=3.3, round it up to 4. 200s/ 36=5.5, round it down to 5.

 Reaction Cycle 1 = 10 + (120/ 36) =14

 Reaction Cycle 2 = 10 + (120/ 36)+( 200s/ 36) =19

 Follow the instruction, input the Blank Cycle 0 〜 0
 Reaction cycle is set 14 〜 19

2.2 Two-reagent:
Blank Cycle = 0 〜 0 leave it zero, no need to set the blank cycle
Reaction Cycle:
Begin point = 19 + (Delay time/ 36)
End point = 19 + (Delay time/ 36)+(Monitoring time/ 36)
(Round ‘Delay time’ up to the next higher integer if the result is not an integer, round ‘Monitoring time’ down
to the pre lower integer if the result is not an integer)

Example: In the reagent manual, delay time is 90s, monitoring time is 180s. Time converts into cycle: 90/
36=2.5, round it up to 3. 180s/ 36=5.

 Reaction Cycle 1 = 19 + (90/ 36) =22

 Reaction Cycle 2 = 19 + (90/ 36)+( 180s/ 36) =27

 Follow the instruction, input the Blank Cycle 0 〜 0
 Reaction cycle is set 22 〜 27

3 Fixed time (Two Point):

Begin point End point
3.1 Single reagent:
Blank Cycle = 0 〜 0 leave it zero, no need to set the blank cycle
Reaction Cycle:
Begin point = 10 + (Delay time/ 36)
End point = 10 + (Delay time/ 36) + (Monitoring time/ 36)
(Round ‘Delay time’ up to the next higher integer if the result is not an integer, round ‘Monitoring time’ down
to the pre lower integer if the result is not an integer)

Example: In the reagent manual, delay time is 180s, monitoring time is 200s. Time converts into cycle: 180/
36=5. 200s/ 36=5.5, round it down to 5.

 Reaction Cycle 1 = 10 + (180/ 36) =15

 Reaction Cycle 2 = 10 + (180/ 36)+( 200s/ 36) =20

 Follow the instruction, input the Blank Cycle 0 〜 0
 Reaction cycle is set 15 〜 20

3.2 Two-reagent:
Blank Cycle = 0 〜 0 leave it zero, no need to set the blank cycle
Reaction Cycle:
Begin point = 10 + (Delay time/ 36)
End point = 10 + (Delay time/ 36) + (Monitoring time/ 36)
(Round ‘Delay time’ up to the next higher integer if the result is not an integer, round ‘Monitoring time’ down
to the pre lower integer if the result is not an integer)

Example: In the reagent manual, delay time is 120s, monitoring time is 180s. Time converts into cycle: 120/
36=3.3, round it up to 4. 180s/ 36=5.

 Reaction Cycle 1 = 19 + (120/ 36) =23

 Reaction Cycle 2 = 19 + (120/ 36)+( 180s/ 36) =28

 Follow the instruction, input the Blank Cycle 0 〜 0
 Reaction cycle is set 23 〜 28
