Introduction: The Huawei ICT Competition is open to worldwide Huawei ICT Academy students and those who are currently
enrolled in higher educational institutions and are interested in joining. Through this competition, Huawei aims to provide students
with a platform to compete and exchange ideas, enhancing students' ICT knowledge and practical skills as well as increasing their
ability to innovate by using new technologies and platforms. Since the first competition was held 2015, our influence has been
gaining momentum and growing rapidly. The number of participants and countries keeps increasing year on year. The China
Association of Higher Education (CAHE) has officially announced the Huawei ICT Competition as a nationwide competition for
college and university students. So far, the 7th edition – Huawei ICT Competition 2022–2023 – has attracted more than 120,000
students from over 2000 colleges and universities in 74 countries and regions.

General requirements:
1. All contestants take the shuttle buses arranged by the Event Affairs Team at the entrance of the recommended
hotels to enter the Huawei campus.
2. Participants who go to the campus by their own accord must pick up their event badge and clothing in advance
and present the badge when entering the campus.

Tips According to the notice released by the Chinese Government WeChat official account

1. Pre-departure test
COVID-19 PCR test or Antigen Rapid Test (ART) are required within 48 hours before boarding China-bound flights. Passengers are required to travel to
China with a negative test result. If you received a positive test result, you should only travel to China when you tested negative against COVID-19.
2. Health declaration to China Customs
You are required to declare your negative test result to China Customs by filling the Health Declaration Form on the WeChat mini-program of China
Customs (scan the QR code below), or at https://htdecl.chinaport.gov.cn, or via the China Customs APP.
3. Airline companies will no longer check the negative PCR or ART test results.
4. Self-protection on the Aircraft
Going to/entering China You are cordially recommended to wear a mask throughout the flight and take good personal protection to reduce the risk of infection.
5. Inspection upon Entry
You can go through customs with your health declaration result, and China Customs may conduct random sampling inspections according to a certain
proportion.
If there are abnormalities in your health declaration or you are showing symptoms such as fever, you are required to take a test by China Customs.
Those whose results are positive will need to self-quarantine or seek medical treatment as notified by the authority. Those whose results are negative
will go through routine inspection by China Customs in accordance with the Frontier Health and Quarantine Law and other laws and regulations.
6. After-entry Epidemic Prevention and Control
After entry into China, you will have to strictly abide by the epidemic prevention and control requirements where you stay.

1. All individuals leaving China need to declare to the China Customs and fill in the health declaration card. The declaration can be made via the
Customs Health Declaration Applet on WeChat, Mobile Customs app, or
https://htdecl.chinaport.gov.cn/htdeclweb/home/pages/healthDeclare/declare.html.
Leaving China 2. For entry issues such as health declaration, please refer to the notices released by airlines and entry ports. For more details, please log in to the
WeChat official account of the Chinese government. The official notices shall prevail.
3. China has different pandemic prevention requirements for people traveling to China from different countries. For detailed requirements, please
consult the local embassy of your country.

Q1: What is the form of the Practice Competition?
The Practice Competition will be held offline, and there are no online exam rooms. The Event Affairs Team will provide contestants with
computers for the competition. We advise contestants to carry their own computers for practice purposes.
Network Track: Set up an eNSP simulator to take the exam. The questions of Network Track 1 and Network Track 2 are different.
Cloud Track: Use students' Huawei Cloud accounts for the competition. The Event Affairs Team will issue coupons in a unified manner.
Computing Track: Use the cloud environment. The Event Affairs Team will set up the environment and allocate EIPs to students for remote
login.
The online competition will last for 8 hours, including the lunch break.

Q2: What is the form of the Innovation Competition?

The Innovation Competition will be held offline, and there are no online exam rooms. The Innovation Competition is divided into two groups:
contestants in China and those outside China. Each team will give presentations for 15 minutes and complete the 10-minute Q&A with

Q3: What are the upload methods and deadline for the projects of the Innovation Competition?
The deadline for uploading projects of the Innovation Competition is 24:00 on May 10. For details about how to upload projects, see the

Q4: When will the results of the Global Final be announced?
The Organizing Committee of the Competition will announce the global final results in early June.
Tips

Safety:
➢ Please take care of your personal belongings and pay attention to the safety of your property.
➢ Pay attention to weather forecasts and warnings of high temperatures in advance. Do not drink or go out alone. Pay attention to personal safety.

Competition:
➢ Please gather on time. During the competition, the shuttle bus will leave promptly. Please arrive at the designated pick-up zone on time to avoid
affecting the competition due to late arrival.
➢ Lounges, washrooms, and restaurants are available the competition places. You can find the desired location according to the maps and signs.
Visit to Xi Liu Bei Po Village:
➢ The Organizing Committee will set up aid stations in Xi Liu Bei Po Village to provide drinking water.
➢ There are hills, lakes, and trains in the campus of the Village. Be careful and avoid falling into the water and keep away from the fences and bars
around the trains.
➢ During the visit, do not litter and keep the campus clean and tidy.
Emergency plan:
➢ Huawei provides a green channel for medical consultation, care, and treatment in case of emergencies.
➢ In case of an emergency, please obey the arrangements and evacuate quickly.
Tips:
➢ It is recommended that you bring an umbrella, suitable clothes, sports shoes, etc.
