COMPULSORY GLOBAL IMMERSION FOR BBA & BBA(ACC) NUS GRADE FREE SCHEME
The Grade-free Scheme seeks to allow students to transit into university life
academically and socially so as to reduce students’ anxiety towards grades.
As students will have the option not to factor their grades for that semester
into their Grade Point Average (GPA), the grade-free scheme will allow
students to achieve a more holistic education experience that transcends
academic results.

NUS UNIVERSITY-LEVEL REQUIREMENTS
GENERAL EDUCATION
Regardless of the choice of major, there is a broad range of knowledge, abilities,
predispositions and attitudes that NUS expects of a university graduate, collectively serving
as the hallmark of higher education. General Education (GE) connects disciplinary
knowledge and perspectives with the skills needed for lifelong learning beyond the
university.
To satisfy the University Level Requirements for GE, students are required to read one GE
Course from each of the six pillars (Total: 24 Units).

18 CAREER PREPARATION
FIELD SERVICE PROJECT
The Field Service Project (FSP) course is a team based project course for Business School
Honours students only. The purpose of FSP is to provide students a true learning
experience and opportunity to partner with an established organisation in Singapore.
Students get to learn directly from the leaders/CEOs and their businesses while engaging
in real-world business issues beyond what they have already learned in NUS.
https://bba.nus.edu.sg/academic-programmes/generalacademic-matters/field-service-project/
NUS Business School’s WSIP is one of the latest experiential learning initiatives
for Business Students. WSIP is a long-term, credit bearing work-cum-study
programme customised in partnership with professional and commercial
organisations. While they pursue classroom-taught courses simultaneously, WSIP
participants will be involved in structured work arrangements with host
organisations throughout a significant part of their candidature.
Through WSIP, students do not only interact with workplace mentors and gain
wide exposure to the discipline of their interest, but may also experience
progressive stipend, job rotation, and be offered accelerated entry-level career
options upon graduation.

ENTREPRENEURIAL 23
WHAT IS
ENTREPRENEURSHIP?
Entrepreneurship is one of the newer specialisations in NUS Business School. This specialisation will furnish our students with broad theoretic lenses to lead change effectively,
whether in an entrepreneurial venture or a large multinational corporation. Students from previous batches have started their own businesses, some of which have been successful
in Singapore like Carousell, Playmoolaha and Moovaz.
“
As mentioned on Page 13, there is also the NUS Overseas College (NOC) programme that aims to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit of students. During the programme, students
intern in a technology-based start-up company and take up courses part-time in reputable universities.
