CHAPTER III: The Akatsuki Guild?

.
.
.
"So, that's what a fucking guild is. Well, you could call us the Akatsuki."
.
.
.
.
.

It's been two damned weeks. Two damned weeks of doing nothing but to bore the hell out of their
shits. All they did were eat, sleep, eat, sleep and sometimes spar but they just couldn't stop the
fucking boredom. And it was driving them to hell. Well… Most of them…

"Fucking spar with me, gills."

"Not in the mood today."

"Great. How about you, blondie?"

"Feeling's mutual with Kisame, yeah."

"Fuck you, godless heathens! This boredom really is killing me!"

"I thought you are immortal."

"Shut the fuck up, stitches! Hey red eyes, why don't you ask Leader for a mission? Even if it's a
fucking C-rank mission!"

Everybody turned their heads towards the man in question who was sitting at the corner of the
room and was reading something. The raven-haired man looked at them momentarily before he
went back reading his book again.

"Oh, fuck. The weasel finds pleasure reading those fucking books. That's fucking weird."

"Says the one who finds pleasure in pain, yeah." The blond swiftly dodged the kunai from hitting his
foot then he laughed.

"It is part of my ritual, you heathens! You godless shits will never understand anyway, unless you
find true enlightenment in the name of Jashin-sama," he yelled before slumping back on his chair,
leaning his head against it then he sighed. "Why would leader forbid us to do any missions, better
yet, leaving this goddamn room?! I wanted to fuck and shit!"

"You know what, Hidan…" Said man glanced towards the shark-man, man-shark who was sitting at
the other corner of the room. "Why don't you try stopping yourself from cursing or swearing even
for a while? Maybe that will lessen the boredom out of you."

"Hell, no. That would be fucking boring, I tell you."

"Then, we're going to cut a part of your body when you curse. How's that, yeah? You love pain
anyway, yeah?"

"That's fucking genius, Deidara." Kisame and Deidara high-fived making Hidan to growl at them but
made no move or so. They're just making fun out of him anyway.

"Deidara, why don't you just blow something up? Leader would be super pissed if you do, then
maybe he would let us go out for a while," Kisame expected to see the brightened face of the bomb
artist but he saw instead Deidara's sulking figure in the corner. "Something the matter?"

Deidara leaned his head against the wall and held up his two hands, the mouths on them were shut.
"Can't, yeah. The boredom really is affecting them," he said before dropping both of his arms again.

"How about card games?" A low, raspy voice suggested. His eyes were glistening as he counted his
money over and over again.

"Yeah, without involving your fucking money!" Hidan laughed hard.

"Oh, Jashin, please kill your bastard priest," Kakuzu mumbled and went back counting his money.
Thanked goodness Hidan was out of earshot.

Deidara stood up and approached the cabinet standing beside Itachi and grabbed a deck of cards. He
made a small glance at Itachi who seemed lost in his own book. He snickered slightly then walked
back towards Kisame. "Let's just play just to kill time, yeah."

Kisame nodded and Hidan joined them. They sat in the middle of the room and began playing Poker.

Being the gambling master he was, Kisame was winning while Deidara, being the youngest among
them, was losing.

"Royal flush. I win again," Kisame roared and threw his cards in the middle of the circle, presenting
his cards before laughing hard. Deidara and Hidan cursed, the latter was much louder than the
former.

"It is boring if you keep on winning, Kisame. Why don't try losing sometimes, yeah?" Kisame laughed
hard. The kid looked so innocent when it comes to gambling.

"Hell, if I do that, then there'll be no fun at all," Kisame replied and took the deck again.
From the corner of his shark-like eyes, he noticed Itachi standing up. The Uchiha then headed
towards their direction. The ex-mist nin smirked. "Do you want to join us, Itachi?"

The other two men glanced up with curiosity towards the Uchiha who stood behind Kisame.

"No," the Uchiha's short and firm answer making Kisame frowned and rolled his eyes.

"Then why the fuck are you standing there? Do you want to watch our awesomeness instead?"

Itachi fought the urge to mangekyou this Jashinist for he knew the fact that Hidan would just enjoy
it. He instead just offered the silverette one of his coldest glare before throwing Kisame a meaningful
look, telling him that there was something going on.

Kisame, who knew his partner for years, dropped the cards he was holding and stood up. The other
two followed suit, asking and pampering the two with so many questions which were left
unanswered. Kakuzu was a little put out — nobody could notice anyway — about what was going on
inside the room. He would later deny that he wasn't leaning to hear them clearly.

"What is it, Itachi?" Kisame asked the Uchiha when Hidan and Deidara finally stopped asking
annoying questions.

Itachi's bloody eyes gave the floor a very, very hard stare as if it was some sort of enemy or
something. Hidan thought he was gone mad. Deidara thought that the Uchiha must be seeing a
ghost sitting on the carpeted floor.

"Someone is coming," the Uchiha stated, his eyebrows narrowing ever so slightly.

Few seconds passed and a blinding golden light appeared so suddenly, making the four men shut
their eyes out of reflex. Kakuzu was on his way towards the group and he was stopped halfway when
the light appeared.

Being eyes closed, they missed the appearance of vortex, spitting a blond woman in the process.

Assuming that the light had died down, Hidan opened an eye and cursed loudly making the other
men opened their eyes in the process as well.

"What the fuck is that?!" The Jashinist exclaimed while pointing an accusing finger towards the
carpeted floor.

They followed the direction of that finger and found a woman who was lying on her stomach on the
carpeted floor. Deidara and Hidan had their eyes as wide as saucers, while the others were quite
undisturbed but a little bit shocked nonetheless.

Kisame got himself out from the shock quickly as he began to relax and compose himself. "Do you
mean, Hidan, who the fuck is that?" He deliberately stressed the word ‘who’ and ‘fuck’.
Hidan ignored the alluring curves of the woman as he withdrew his purple eyes from looking at her
body before glancing towards Kisame who looked like he wanted to devour the blonde woman as
well.

Itachi narrowed his eyes and put his guard on although this lady did not seem to be a threat. Kakuzu
could just stare and wait for something to happen while Deidara was trying to get some answers
from the other men.

"Who's that bitch? Where the hell did she fucking come from?" Hidan directed his questions towards
the Uchiha who he quoted the mister-dickless-know-it-all.

The Uchiha just kept on staring at the young lady with oddity. He did know who she was, not that he
knew her name or something, but he knew that the woman was sent here for one certain purpose.
Leader sent her here to do something, or so he thought.

Hidan growled out of frustration when no one did answer his fucking questions. His growls were
quite loud, making the blonde lady stir for a moment. All men froze and waited for something to
happen.

After several seconds, the blond lady pushed herself to sit; her blond locks were covering her face.
She made a small sound before raising a hand to rub her aching temple.

"Hey, bitch! Who the hell are you?!"

Hearing this loud, screechy and annoying voice, she snapped almost immediately towards that
voice's direction only to find a man with slicked silver hair and two beautiful purple eyes. She could
ogle for a little if it wasn't for his deadly glare he was sending to her. She shivered and realized what
the hell is going on.

"Oi, are you fucking deaf or something? Who the hell are you, bitch?"

She could just gape at the man, and quite flushed because of embarrassment when she was called a
bitch, when she heard him curse in front of her without being ashamed or without some decency.

Out of reflex and instead of answering him, she crawled away from him as far as she could until she
was stopped by a wall, or so she thought.

Looking up, she met two crimson orbs staring intently at her. She abruptly remembered the mage
from before with that same devil eyes.

She stopped, frozen.

However, when she sensed no killing intention nor that same murderous aura she felt from the
mage before in this young man, she could tell that he was not the mage she fought earlier. So, she
stood up and rushed behind the Uchiha for protection.

Stoic as ever, Itachi made no move as he sensed no ill intention from the girl but instead a foreign
energy he could not name yet. This foreign energy was so pristine to him that he could not tell
whether if it was treacherous or not. However, he could feel the placidness of that energy and it did
relax him somehow.

His thoughts drifted back to reality when Hidan's hysterical cursing snapped him out of his thoughts.

"Can anyone fucking tell me who's that bitch? My patience is shitting me out, you know? Godless
heathens!" The Jashinist hissed, feeling beyond frustrated.

The woman managed to give Hidan a glare for calling her a bitch as if it was her name or something
but he just waved it off and scratched the back of his head instead. "Why don't we just kill the bitch,
you know? She can be a good sacrifice. I tell you."

Upon hearing these malicious words, she cowered and hid behind Itachi again. She tugged his cloak
and buried her face in his back.

"No can do," the Uchiha answered firmly and resolutely. His tone was not defensive but it sounded
like he knew something that they needed to know.

"Why is that?"

"Leader brought her here."

Hidan swore something under his breath but was relieved nonetheless. So, all of these nonsense
shits were because of their leader. He shouldn't be surprised if so. He walked off back to his former
seat and decided to take a nap once in a while. Kisame and Kakuzu left them and resumed their
previous activities, well for Kisame, he dropped on the floor and leaned his back against the wall.

Itachi and Deidara were left standing; the woman was still behind the Uchiha.

Itachi pushed her by taking a hold of her shoulders and situated her in between him and Deidara.
The two men mentally observed her.

Lucy was shocked. Well, that was an understatement. She was beyond being shock, really, really
shock. One second she was being sucked by a vortex and now she was surrounded by these weird
looking males dressed in black cloaks. Who are these men, anyway? They were odd and strange
looking especially that silver haired guy from before. He was the most foul-mouthed guy she
could've ever met.

Though the other members were scary, especially those two huge guys with blue skin while the
other had that murderous-looking eccentric green eyes… But she wasn't so shock about that. Many
people from Fiore had more intimidating look than that. Heck, if Acnologia was not that frightening
enough…

She shivered at the memory.

However, the strange silver-haired guy was different. His attitude was so odd. He could swear and
curse as if it was his language, not to mention, he did not have any concerns if the listener was being
offended or something. Sure, Natsu could swear a lot but this guy was far beyond that. And it
astonished her for some reason.

Lucy was a bit startled when the blond male began staring at her like she'd grown two heads. She
could feel the killing intention in his blue eyes and yet she could notice the faint innocence and
curiosity as well.

And that was when the Deidara noticed that the woman was dressed in very odd and strange
clothes. "You look weird, yeah."

The blond artist took a good look of her clothing. Her simple tank top was green and her skirt was
dark brown, with a belt which was holding several odd looking keys in silver and gold. She also wore
brown leather boots and her hair was tied up in a side way half ponytail. He wondered for a moment
where in the world she got that burnt marks on her arm and thigh. And those looked pretty painful.
Well, he really didn't care so he did not pry about it. And her looks… she was really a weird looking
girl.

Lucy, who was a little bit startled from before, began scrutinizing the area. When she discerned that
these weird looking men wouldn't do anything to harm her or some sort related to that, she started
to loosen up but not too much as to let her guard down. Besides, she still has her keys so she could
defend herself against them if necessary.

Where was she anyways? She didn't have any idea. And these men in uniformed black cloaks didn't
do anything to hurt or harm her when the crimson-eyed guy told them that their leader brought her
here. So, the mage before was their leader? Is it more appropriate to call their leader as guild
master? She just shrugged the thought off immediately.

"Hey, Uchiha…" Lucy skewed her head to the left. "What does leader want with her, yeah?" What's
with the 'yeah' in the end of every sentence anyway?

Pretentious for an answer, she tilted her head to the other side. "I am not certain as well. There is
nothing I, no, we can do but wait for a solid answer when Leader-sama came back." With a curt nod
to her, Itachi left the two blondes standing in the middle of the room and took his former seat,
resuming his reading activity.

Deidara was curious about the new girl. Well, curiosity was an understatement. He sensed no threat
from her, only peacefulness. And her body. She looked like a slut, not that he knew many things
about sluts — well her body was obviously stating that fact. Besides, he was influenced by Hidan
who had a dirty mouth. Maybe, leader needed someone to help him release his stress. But, is Konan
responsible in doing that?

Shaking his head mentally, he realized with a frown that he would be responsible in handling the
woman for the time being. Not that he liked it, hell he didn't want to look after this girl in the first
place but some part of him told him to know this lady more. To explore her more. And seeing that
his fellow members weren't up to babysit the woman, he decided to do the task himself since he has
the guts to do it his awesome self.
Sighing, he made this movement gesturing the woman to follow him. The woman immediately
followed him as she felt no danger from him and she was not really against the idea despite the fact
that these men were strangers to her. But she knew she wouldn't let her guard down even for a
millisecond.

The blond artist sat on the carpeted floor and leaned his back against the wall. The woman seated
next to him, about five feet away or so. He sighed and closed his eyes as he drifted into a slight
sleep.

Lucy noticed this and procured this moment to analyze the situation she was in right now.

Sensing the atmosphere, it was strangely cold here so maybe she was not near Fiore anymore. And
these men, they wore uniformed black cloaks with red clouds on it. They wore different clothes, way
too different from what she'd seen from before. But maybe, it was the usual clothing in whatever
this country was. And her clothes were foreign to their eyes. The blond guy did tell her that she
looked weird.

She took a good look at the sleeping guy not so far from her. His cloak was thick enough to warm
himself against the coldness of the place. And those red clouds. Weren't they symbolizing peace?
But they were red, bloody red. Maybe they weren't into peace but they were into destroying the
peace. She cringed at the thought. But still, that was an intimidating design, she thought.

She noticed that they had metal plates with a symbol on their forehead, well for the foul-mouthed
guy, hung around his neck. What are those? Guild marks maybe? But aren't they supposed to be
uniformed? Well, they have different symbols.

Another thing that made them strange was the aura that surrounds them. The aura was very, very
odd in a way that she couldn't tell whether it was magic or something. She didn't really understand.
Were they even mages? Maybe they were. Based on the mage she fought previously, he used Lost
Magic. Maybe these men were using the same type of magic as well. She gulped nervously. Natsu
and Gray should be searching for her right now, shouldn’t they?

She glanced towards the two huge males who were casting odd stares at her every once in a while.
Creeps, she thought and shuddered. They looked like rouge criminals: the way they look, their
stance, their language and their presence. It was dark but not purely evil. Maybe they were using
Dark Arts Magic like Zeref. She cringed at the thought. If that's true, then she stood no chance
against them, even for only one.

Settling for another thinking of her own thoughts, her mind drifted back to her fight against the dark
mage. She knew from him that she was his recent target that's why he abducted her and brought
her to this place. And she knew from him that he needed her because she would make a great
contribution for his organization. Was he indirectly implying that he would just going to use her for
his own personal desires?

No, he also told her another thing. He promised that he would make a better world for her: a better
world where she wouldn't feel being unappreciated again. Was she being unappreciated in Fairy
Tail? No. But she did feel the angst and hatred in her heart, like what the mage told her so. Was the
angst for her guild? Was the hatred for her guild mates? No. But why was she feeling all these
emotions all of the sudden since that mage told her that? Was it because she was ignoring that fact
and she just realized it when someone point it out? She didn't know the answer either.

She rubbed her temples soothingly, trying to stop thinking those things for a while. She cursed
herself mentally for forgetting the communication lacrima Levy had reminded her two days
previously. Now, she desperately needed that in order to escape from these men.

She almost gasped in shock when a white butterfly flew around her and landed beside her foot. She
thought it was pretty but what was the butterfly doing in a place like this? And it was color white.
She hadn’t seen any butterfly like that in her life. But, although, it was pure white, it was pretty. No,
it was beautiful.

Reaching a hand, she attempted to touch the butterfly that was flipping its wings in open and close
rhythm slowly, as if seducing her to touch it. Her delicate fingers slowly drew near the butterfly and
almost she was touching it when suddenly it quivered quite disturbingly and…

BANG!

She withdrew her hand instantly and yelped at the same time when the butterfly exploded. What
the hell was that? She could hear her heart beating so loud and fast against her chest.

And then she heard someone snickering. She shakily tilted her head to the side only to find the blond
male laughing his ass off.

Their eyes met for a second and he laughed hard. "Now that's how you kill the boredom, yeah!"

She gave him a very, very angry glare, her face was flushed because of embarrassment. She could
imagine herself with an idiotic reaction from the explosion. Her glares only intensified and he
laughed even more.

"Don't try to hurt her, Deidara," Kisame warned from the other side of the room.

"I am not hurting her, yeah," the blond replied and decided to prank the woman again. He reached
for his pocket to get some clay. He let the mouth on his palm eat and chew the clay until the white
stuff became a small bird. He watched it fly, mentally appreciating and praising his wonderful skills in
sculpting.

He watched in pure fascination as the small bird flew from his palm towards the girl who was now
not more than a meter away from him and was staring at him as if he'd grown two heads.

He was a bit startled. Hell, he didn't feel her coming close to him. Was it because he felt no chakra
within her? He was going to shove her away from his personal place when their eyes met for the
second time.

He felt he was frozen.

Her eyes. Her bright large brown eyes were twinkling with both amazement and curiosity. He could
see the innocence in those orbs, the peacefulness, the purity and other emotions he couldn't name
yet.

His eyes drifted down to her slightly flushed cheeks. The paleness and pinkness blend together to
enhance her natural splendour.

And her lips. They were pink and luscious. Were they soft like how they look? He stared at her eyes
again and snapped out of his thoughts when her orbs coasted down to look at something.

Her brows narrowed slightly at the sight. He thought it was rather mesmerizing.

"What was that?" she asked, her voice hinted her shock, she was amazed, yes, but shocked
nonetheless.

He followed her gaze and found out that she was staring at his palm. He raised a hand and showed
his palm to her, its mouth grinning at her before sticking its tongue out.

She gasped in shock and grabbed his hand instantly. The blond tensed but made no move to shove
the curious lady away. He just let her observe his greatest and most beautiful possession of his life.

Lucy pulled his hand closer to her view. His palm had a mouth on it. She traced a finger around its
lips and the tongue licked her. She withdrew her hand and yelped, causing the blond to laugh at the
sight.

She threw him a slight glare and a confused look. "What is this?" She stared at his palm again. "It has
mouth that can shape and sculpt clay into beautiful shapes and figures."

He enjoyed the praise as he grinned at her. "It is my kekkei genkai, yeah," he answered proudly.

With this being said, Lucy raised her head to look at him, her brows knitted together. "Kekkei…
genkai? What is that?"

Deidara paused for a moment. This time it was his turn to shot her a confused look. "You don't know
what a kekkei genkai is, yeah?" She shook her head; the innocence and curiosity in those eyes were
still present. He gave her an 'are you stupid' look? And she made no reaction.

How come this girl did not know about kekkei genkai? Sure she looked like a civilian but even a five
year old ninja know what a kekkei genkai is.

"Do you at least know what a shinobi is?"

She shook her head instantly.

"How about a ninja?"

She paused and held her chin, her usual thinking poise. "Last time I saw one, he's just pretending to
be a ninja. So, no. I've heard it and I've never seen one. Have you?"
Deidara wanted to laugh his ass off if it wasn't for the fact that he was beyond shock. This girl had no
knowledge about ninja. From what village did she come from anyways? Even the most faraway
village knew at least something about shinobi. Besides this was the world of ninja after all.

Deidara just shook his head. "You're a crazy woman, aren't you?"

"…am not! Maybe you are the crazy one here," she sounded angry all of a sudden. "What are you
anyways? What guild is this?" She sounded exasperated.

"Guild? What is a fucking guild, bitch?"

Lucy snapped towards the foul-mouthed guy who was walking towards them in the moment. She
glared at him but made no answer.

Hidan sat across the two blondes who were staring at him. "What the fuck?"

Deidara rolled his eyes and leaned against the wall again while Lucy kept on staring at him.

Hidan tensed when he felt her eyes on him. He felt naked in those orbs as she scanned his body from
head to toe. Though he wanted this, he felt a strange emotion within himself. An emotion he had
not felt for a long time now.

Lucy observed his body, looking for something that would explain the anatomy of this guy. Not that
she was attracted to him or something, she was just curious. Like the blond guy, maybe this
silverette had a 'kekkei genkai' as well.

But she did find nothing. Disappointed, she stared at his face again and noticed his dumbfounded
expression. His brows knitted together, his nose was scrunched a bit and lips were parted. She
wanted to laugh if she could.

"You looked like crap," she said instead as if it was the most natural thing to say that moment.

There was a pause and then, Deidara plus Kisame laughed hard in the background. You could see
Kakuzu and Itachi smirking. Hidan looked horrified as if it was the first time he heard someone
insulted his good looks.

"The hell, bitch? I don't look like a shit!"

Lucy's lips twitched and an angry mark began appearing on her forehead. "Is it wrong to be honest?"

"No, shit. You're insulting the fuck out of me."

She shut her eyes closed; the mark became larger and larger as seconds went.

Deidara noticed this so he put a hand on her shoulder, making Lucy tensed up and looked at him in
the process. "That was great, yeah! Hidan sure looked like a shit!" He grinned and she smiled faintly.
Thanked goodness she calmed down.
"Shut the fuck up, goldilocks!"

Kisame approached them and sat beside Hidan. He threw a huge arm around the priest's neck. Hidan
cursed but made no move to shove the shark-man away.

"Easy now, Hidan. We don't want to scare this little woman now, do we?" Kisame said as he grinned
at Lucy who was now more frightened than before.

"Are... Are you a human shark?!" She exclaimed, her hand in front of her mouth while the other was
pointing an accusing finger to Kisame.

Said man just grinned more at her. "Many people used to address me like that. But I like it."

Deidara rolled his eyes again when he noticed that flirtatious tone of Kisame. Didn't he realize that it
doesn't suit him? He thought.

Going back to business, Hidan threw the girl a glare and repeated his question from before. "So,
bitch, what's a guild?"

She cringed, not getting used to his swearing and cursing. "What's with the swearing?"

"Don't mind him. He was just used to that type of communicating. Just imagined that it was his own
way to show his affection," Kisame explained.

"No, gills. I don't show any affection except for Jashin. And, bitch, it was a part of my—"

"Religious activities, yeah, yeah, I've heard that like hundreds of times ago, yeah," Deidara
interrupted causing Kisame to snicker a bit.

Soon Deidara was laughing, as well as Kisame. Lucy wanted to join the laughter if she gets the joke
but she didn't. Instead, she shot Hidan a quizzical look. "Part of… religious activities?"

Hidan snorted and nodded.

"Really?"

He cursed but managed to nod again.

"Really, really?"

"Shut the fuck up!" He exclaimed when Kisame and Deidara laughed even harder. Hidan glared at
Lucy. "Why don't you fucking believe me?"

Lucy pouted. Deidara and Kisame thought it was cute then mentally slapped themselves. "Well,
you're what, a priest, right? And you could swear a lot. Man, you're even worse than that green and
square dude from Zentopia."
"Zento…what?"

"Don't fucking compare me to someone else I don't fucking know. Why don't you just answer my
question, huh, bitch?"

She flinched again. Hell, why couldn't she just get used to his curses already, ne? Well, Natsu could
swear a lot and sometimes Gray. But it was different when you used this as part of the language.
Yes, that's the reason for that.

She took a deep breath and exhaled. These men were absolutely far from civilization for they didn't
know what a guild is. Hell, this was the world of the wizards and yet they didn't know what a guild is.

"A guild is a place where mages congregate to take missions under a commission. And I assume that
you guys are part of a guild and I'm asking you the name of your guild."

"Mages… what?"

"So, that's what a fucking guild is. Well, you could call us the Akatsuki," Hidan was slightly confused.
Their uniformed black cloaks were enough to state the name of their organization without speaking
it loud. There's no need answering the bitch but he did anyways. It was quite frustrating and
amusing at the same time that someone doesn't know the fearsome Akatsuki.

Kisame processed the word 'guild' in his mind. It was his first time hearing this word. Hell, he then
thought he had travelled all the places in the world. Guess he didn't yet.

"Akatsuki? That's strange for a guild name but whatever. So, where's your guild mark?" Lucy asked.
The roll of her tongue upon saying their guild name was strangely uncomfortable and comfortable at
the same time.

"She doesn't even know us! The fuck? Aren't we popular? Where in the fucking hell did this blonde
bitch come from anyway?" Hidan was ignored but Kisame considered this question also.

"Guild mark… what?" Deidara ignored both of them; his interest was caught by this strange woman
instead.

"Guild mark, your guild symbol, damn I," Lucy felt like pulling her hair out of aggravation. Educating
this men was worse than kids!

"And what the fuck is that?"

She fought the urge to slam her head against the nearest wall. She looked at them with a sceptical
look on her face. "You don't even know that? What type of guild is this anyway? Guild for idiots?"

Hidan glared at her. "Do not fucking insult the Akatsuki, bitch. You do not want to die yet, now do
you—"
Kisame cut him off by placing a huge hand to cover the priest's mouth. "Shut the hell up, Hidan if you
don't want leader to be super pissed of you," he whisper-shouted then gave Lucy an apologizing
look.

Deidara didn't fail to see the way her right hand grab her keys the moment Hidan threatened her.
What's with those keys anyway?

Lucy calmed herself down without letting her guard down. She was a bit frightened the way that
priest glare at her. But she could defend herself well, if necessary. She had her keys.

She raised her right arm and showed them the back of her palm. The three of them stared at the
strange symbol in pink.

"Is that a fairy, yeah?"

She nodded.

"But fairy had no tail, right?"

She nodded again. "Fairies aren't real. This is just a symbol of our guild, the Fairy Tail."

"Fairy… Tail?"

"It's a wizard guild. All members were wizards who possessed unique magic. I am pretty bothered
that you had no guild mark with you. Are you sure you belong in a guild?"

Kisame shrugged, as well as Hidan, and Deidara looked more confused than ever. This woman
couldn't get any weirder and weirder now, could she?

"The fuck with that symbol. We aren't into girly stuff, you know."

"A guild mark is important. Geez, a bunch of kids are better than you," she mumbled the last part as
she scanned the area. That's when she noticed the signature red clouds imprinted in their cloaks.

Crap. That must be their guild symbol. Why in the cloak? Why not in their body? Oh well, maybe the
symbol was on their skin? And it was just hidden. Not that she liked to see them anyway.

She sighed and asked, "Where in Earthland is this place anyway?"

"…Somewhere cold."

"Don't state the obvious, geez," Lucy rolled her eyes. "And where the heck is that?"

"Sorry, blondie, classified information."

"Argh." She lowered her head and placed them in the valley of her bent knees. It was her first time
dealing with this kind of people. Where in Earthland was she anyways? Moments before, she was in
Fiore and now, here she was, in a place she did not know where.
That mage she fought formerly was so powerful to teleport her from Fiore to this cold place, not to
mention, that creep knew how to use both Illusion and Lightning magic. Maybe these wizards were
Lost Magic users as well.

But, they didn't look like wizards. They talked about ninja. Maybe they were ninja after all. Do they
even exist? She thought they were just fictional. She never heard ninja until she heard it from Natsu.

Oh, Natsu. Where are they anyway? They must have been looking for her right now, right? What if
they were not? She's weak. She would just bring trouble. She was just a burden to her group. Her
lost was nothing to them.

She sulked and felt miserable for a moment. They could be as strong as they wanted to be whether
she's in the group or not. She knew that fact. Even before she joined the guild, Fairy Tail was pretty
strong as they were.

Oh, how painful that fact was.

'Just come with me and I'll give you the life you dream of.'

She shot her eyes open, almost immediately as her heart began to ache with an unbearable pain
upon remembering this line from that mage.

Who was that mage anyway? Why did he know her? How much did he know her? What did he need
from her? Why was she here?

'Stop thinking, Lucy. All you need to do is think about how on Earthland you are going to escape
from here.' Her mind told her. She shook her head, trying to erase unnecessary thoughts.

She knew from her heart that Natsu and her friends won't abandon her. No doubt about that.

"What's with the keys, yeah?" She tilted her head to the side only to meet with blue eye and blond
fringe.

It took ten seconds for her to absorb the question. She gazed towards her beloved keys which were
sparkling as if comforting her or something.

Her brown orbs softened. Deidara didn't miss that.

She reached a hand and grabbed her key holder. She raised it to show it to them. "These keys are my
greatest possession." Her voice was coated with pride and happiness, as if she was talking about a
very close family member. "Some of my keys were given to me by my mother."

Kisame and Hidan just listened to her but Deidara took it with such interest.

"So, the keys are for your treasures or something to fuck?" Hidan asked obliviously. Kakuzu's hearing
abilities heightened suddenly. The blond woman didn't glare at the Jashinist or something; maybe
she was getting used to her cursing and swearing. At last.
"Heck, no. They could do more than that," she answered softly as she touched the Key of the Lion
and the Key of the Maiden. "These keys saved me from death many, many times."

There was a pause.

Then somebody coughed, probably Kisame, judging by the loudness. Her vision shifted from the keys
to the men across her.

Hidan had this what-the-fuck-are-you-talking-about look with his mouth hanging open slightly.

Kisame had this okay-she's-insane-for-thinking-a-key-could-save-lives look.

Deidara had this look similar to Kisame's but in a less stupid way. His visible eye held that
curiousness and innocence still.

She paid no interest to the men sitting further away from her, missing two pairs of eyes watching her
in slight amusement.

"I tell you this bitch is insane… Telling us that those damned keys saved her fucking life."

"Maybe she used them to unlock several escape doors..."

"Fucking shut it, gills," Hidan waved a hand in a dismissing matter. "She's insane, you fucking know
it."

"…am not insane!" Lucy yelled, especially to Hidan. "You don't know anything about me so just shut
your hole, mister!"

"You bitch…!"

Kisame managed to hold the priest from attacking Lucy. Deidara put a hand to cover her for
protection, his palm grinning lecherously at her. She just paid no attention and just kept on sending
Hidan several deadly glares.

Hidan snorted, stood up and left them. He cursed filthy things under his breath as he walked
towards the furthest corner and sat there.

Kisame gave her an apologetic look and a frightening smile. He stood up also and took his former
seat.

She let out a long sigh and calmed herself down. No one can insult her keys. No one had the right to.

"Don't mind him, yeah," Deidara said, lowering his arm in front of her. "He was a short-tempered
bastard."

There was a growl of annoyance followed by a feminine chuckle.

"Yeah, a total bull crap," Lucy added, now relaxing a bit. She rested her head against the wall and
stared at the ceiling. They didn't even know I'm a Celestial Wizard. Do they even know what a wizard
is? She doubted that. They're too stupid to notice anyway.

Seconds passed and three knocks were heard. It was coming behind the door. Once the knocks
ended, the door opened, revealing a woman with bluish purple hair designed with a paper folded
what seem like rose on the top right of her end. She wore the same black cloak as the rest of the
men was wearing…

So, there was a woman in this guild as well… She thought to herself, silently admiring how compose
and how calm the woman was. Not to mention, her very person screamed for beauty and authority.

The woman walked in and stopped in front of Lucy. Her golden eyes scanned her body as she
nodded at her. "Miss Lucy Heartfilia."

Lucy stood up, as well as Deidara, and stared at the woman. The woman towered Lucy by
centimeters as she nod at her again.

"Leader-sama required seeing your presence," she stated politely.

Leader-sama. It must be the mage she fought earlier. Great. She can ask him several questions for
bringing her here. She gave the woman a firm nod.

"Please address me as Konan whilst you settle here, Miss Heartfilia. Now, please follow me."

Konan walked outside the room. Lucy glanced towards Deidara and the blond artist threw her a
small smile. Kisame shrugged and smiled as well. Hidan smirked and she took this cue to leave.

When she was nowhere in sight, Deidara suddenly jolted his head as he remembered something.
"Her name's Lucy Heartfilia, yeah?"

"See? She'd had an insanely fucking name… which explains why she was an insanely fucking bitch."

"Hidan is an 'insanely fucking name' as well…"

"Shut the fuck up, gills!"

Kisame laughed hard. Kakuzu smirked.

XXXXX

Lucy stood in the middle of darkness. Konan had left her there and she was told to stand there and
wait.

And Lucy waited, as if she had other choice or something. After a few more minutes, a chill passed
ghostly onto her skin and she felt shiver ran down her spine. Then a low voice resonated inside the
dark room.
"Miss Lucy Heartfilia."

Her body shivered slightly upon hearing that deep, manly voice. She sensed authority coating his
words. He was unquestionably the leader of this guild.

However, she felt something was wrong. She felt… odd. He was not the mage she fought earlier. She
knew it though she didn't know how. The man was a thorough stranger. Who was he?

From afar, she caught a glimpse of two purplish flickering lights. She assumed them as the man's
eyes.

And they were different and odd… gorgeous and beautiful, but odd nonetheless.

With a flick of a finger, the room started to lighten up a bit but not too bright, just enough for her to
see her body and enough for the man to stay behind the shadows.

"I am pleased to see somebody outside this world… like you," the man stated, making Lucy
shuddered in the process. She didn't say anything to respond so he continued. "Madara did well, at
last. I thought he had gone senile." Then he chuckled.

"Who are you?" Lucy asked softly, slight anxiety coating her tone but merely unnoticeable. "You're
not the man from before, are you? So, who are you?"

There was a pause.

Then the man stepped closer to her. She could see the color of his hair, it was auburn but she
couldn't conjure up his face yet. His strange eyes, which she found out were ringed, stared at her
blankly.

"You are rather valiant, Miss Heartfilia, I noted. I am Pein, and yes, I am not the one who conveyed
you here."

She opened her mouth to ask, she decided to be straightforward. "What do you need me for?"

"Madara did not articulate you?" His fast response.

If he did tell me, what do you think is the point of asking you, damn man! She wanted to say that
because her patience was thinning again but she knew better. She didn't want to die yet. "No."

"I see." The man stepped closer to her again and she saw flickering lights from his face. She saw
black silvery things on his face. Are those piercings?

She could trace his facial features, his nose, jaw line, cheek bones. He looked like a god! And his
piercings emphasized his handsomeness. He was uncanny gorgeous as she described him.

This man couldn't get weirder and weirder now, could he? But in an alluring and fascinating way.

Crap. No time to ogle this man! Focus on the much necessary matters on hand, Lucy!
Pein curled his lips into thin line, he noticed her inward battle, as he spoke. "Then I will edify you
with our… or rather, his intentions. Listen very well."
