Weekly Report Format Each week’s report should contain but not limited to
& Contents  Details of the trades made during the week
 Reasons/Justification for the buy & sell decision. What information,
news, and analysis were used as the basis for the trade.
 Weekly summary of overall portfolio performance, i.e.
profitability/return analysis
 For Weekly, midterm and final reports, you need to pick a
benchmark market index, against which you would compare your
investment performance.

Components of the 1. Investor’s Policy Statement
Mid Term Report 2. Weekly portfolio performance report (though these were already
submitted, these should be part of Mid Term report in a more refined &
concise form.
3. Detailed analysis (including tables, charts, graphs etc.) of portfolio
performance for the duration, i.e. from 21-May-2020 to 10-July-2020

Evaluation Criteria The weekly submitted reports till Mid Term report will be evaluated as one
assignment.

The Mid Term report will be evaluated on the following two bases.
1 The report contents, quality of analysis and reporting (60% Weight)
2 Report format and presentation (40% Weight).

Example: Let say you got 80 out of 100 for report contents and 60 out of
100 for report formatting and presentation. Your total report marks would
be

Trading Guidelines You have endowed with a fund of Rs. 1 million Rupees. You can invest the
whole amount in the stock market, or you can diversify up to a maximum of
20% in other investment vehicles like Forex, Mutual Funds (not listed on
stock markets) etc. The only condition for non-stock investment is that it
should have publicly available daily buying & selling quotes.

Trading Requirements & Conditions.


 The minimum number of stocks in the portfolio should not be less
than five.
 The assigned funds should be utilised entirely. There should be no
idle funds in any week.
 There should be a minimum of three transactions (buy or sell) every
week.
 You cannot hold one share for more than three weeks, i.e. if you
bought the stock on Monday of week 1, you need to sell it on Friday
of week 3.
 Any other instructions provided during the project.
