Purpose: The Sunday School coordinator serves as the general administrative leader of a LOVE
Church’s Sunday School Ministry.

You are hereby appointed as the Coordinator of Sunday School Department in LOVE Church and your
duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Plan for growth of the department and all these plans will be considered and discussed with the
church’s pastor to avoid confusion as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 14:33 and questions that will quench the
move of the Holy Spirit and unity.
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

2. Facilitate Sunday School teaching and class appropriate for new visitors who aren’t ready yet for the
Pastor’s preaching topic for that Sunday.

3. Do not entertain any members’ or sympathizers’ problems. Leave it to the Pastor. Your task is to just
teach them and not to counsel them.

4. Communicate goals and actions to the other Sunday School teachers and participants and evaluate
progress.

5. Establish and nurture a Christian community of welcome, care, and covenantal cooperation in the
classroom.

6. Design lesson plans mindful of the mission and vision of the congregation, and the goals, objectives,
and policies established by LOVE Church.

7. Become intimately familiar with the spiritual growth of the attendees and if they comprehend and apply
the lessons taught every Sunday. Monitor their growth as young Christians.

8. Be involve in the LM groupings’ bible study for you’ll be the substitute teacher if they need one to
teach.

I have read and received a copy of my job description. I understand these overrides anything I have been
given or told in the past. I further understand that I am expected to follow my job as outlined above, and
that if I have any questions concerning what is expected of me, I will speak with my immediate pastor
identified above.
