Sociological imagination is the act of thinking ourselves away from the recognizable schedules

of our regular routines to check them out from a new perspective. It is based on making

connections with the world versus yourself. Sociological Imagination can be practiced with any

behavior. It enables the professor to evaluate history and connect it to our lives today. With

sociological imagination you can grow a greater awareness of life through the understanding of

history and the connections of biography in society.

2. The social climate, social setting, sociocultural setting or milieu alludes to the prompt physical

and group environment in which individuals live or in which something occurs or creates. It

incorporates the way of life that the individual was taught or lives in, and individuals and

establishments with whom they associate. Oftentimes it is difficult for a person to understand

their wider social milieu due to bias. People just hate the truth and will make up anything to

justify their actions.

3. The Coronavirus has had an enormous negative effect on employment rates. Many factors go

into this including workers not being able to find jobs due to stores shutting down or not being

open. Some may have changed their preference during this time of self reflection. Which is

interesting considering a shortage of labor workers. The serious effect of the COVID-19

pandemic is found in the numbers: more than 3.1 million deaths and the numbers are

continuously rising, 120 million individuals were pushed into poverty, and a monstrous recession

globally. As pain and poverty have increased due to Covid-19, sources show an increment in

another limit: the abundance of very rich people.

4. A larger social issue affecting my life daily is racism. As an Indian , with darker skin, who was

born in India it is inevitable in the United States. Once I moved to the States, while growing up I

lived in a predominantly caucausian area. With that includes being called a towel head or a

terrorist, or most kids not wanting to approach you, or everyone automatically thinking im a
genius. As I have matured I realized that the people who actually care will not be racist towards

me. And to let the haters continue to do their thing because they're the narrow minded ones,

not me.
