    1. 20 POINTS In an 18 Tex cotton yarn there are 120 fibers. What is the fineness of cotton fiber
    in micronaire?
    2. 20 POINTS In a drafting arrangement of two pairs of rollers, the delivery (exit) roller has 3,5
    cm diameter and makes 2800 revolutions per minute (rpm) while producing a sliver of Nm
    0,25. If the sliver count fed to the drafting arrangement is Nm 0,05 and entry roller diameter
    is also 3,5 cm, what is the rpm of the entry roller?
    3. 20 POINTS Compare the combed and carded (not combed) yarn properties in terms of yarn
    strength (tenacity), yarn evenness, yarn hairiness and handle, and explain the reasons behind
    the differences.
