 “Polyglot” (intellectual game)
Мақсаты:

1. Оқушылардың қазақ тілі, орыс тілі, ағылшын тілі пәндерәнен алған білімдеріне
жалпылай шолу жасау, қайталау жұмыстарын жүргізу.
2. Оқушылардың танымдық қабілетін, ой – өрісін дамыту, дүниетанымын кеңейту,
сөздік қорын молайту.
3. Оқушыларды ұлтаралық ынтымақтастыққа, өз елін және өз тілін қадірлеуге, өз
отанын сүюге тәрбиелеу. Ағылшын тіліне қызығушылығын арттыру.
 
Білімділік:
Өткен тақырыптарды сайыс барысында қайталау, үш тілде (қазақ, орыс, ағылшын) сөйлеу
дағдысын дамыту.

Дамытушылық:
Оқушылардың сөйлеу, есте сақтау, ойлау, логикалық ойлау, тілдік дағдыларын дамыту.

Тәрбиелік:
Достық қарым- қатынасқа тәрбиелеу, топта жұмыс істей алушылықты қалыптастыру.

 Жүргізуші 1:  Тіл – халықтын жаны, сәні, тұтастай кескін-келбеті, болмысы. Адамды
мұратқа жеткізетін – ана тілі мен ата дәстүрі.
Жүргізуші 2:  Язык – это общественное явление, которое действует на протяжении
всего существования человечества. История не знает ни одного человеческого
коллектива, который бы не пользовался языком. И это понятно. Человек живет в
обществе. Он постоянно связан с другими людьми. Средством общения служит язык.
При помощи языка люди передают свои мысли, желания, чувства.
Жүргізуші 3:  Our language is connected with our thought and sense It’s close to the
society’s life. All languages developed under influence of economic, political and
geographical conditions.

Жүргізуші 2:  Первый Президент нашего государства Нурсултан Назарбаев  выступает
за знание нескольких языков. И сегодня мы, нынешнее поколение, изучаем не только
казахский и русский язык, но и английский язык, так как это язык международного
уровня. И сегодня мы хотим проверить, как наши ученики знают эти три языка.

Today we have come together for the competition between three groups.

Жүргізуші 3 : It is my honor and dutyto declare our competition open. I think we
should create a friendly atmosphere. Dear friends! I hope it will be an interesting
and exiting competition. And of course the competition will be judged by our jury.
Let’s greet them! The chairman of our jury is Бағила Қасымжановна and other
members of jury are Динара Қасмақын,Қаламқас Байзакова…..

Жүргізуші 3:  English is a world language.  It’s the language of progressive science and
technology, trade and Cultural relations, commerce and business. English is spoken by
more than 350 million people. Geographically, it’s the most widespread language on earth.
Жүргізуші 2:  Хорошее знание и развитие родного языка, умение пользоваться
выразительными средствами иностранных языков – самая лучшая опора для каждого
человека в его общественной и творческой деятельности. Каждый язык чрезвычайно
богат, гибок и живописен. Настанет время – и оно не за горами – языки станут изучать
везде и всюду, и знание нескольких языков станет само собой разумеющимся. Еще
Максим Горький говорил: «Надо воспитывать в себе вкус к хорошему языку, как
воспитывают вкус к гравюрам, к хорошей музыке.»

scores let’s sing a song “Bright blue sky” in three languages.

 An intellectual game

POLYGLOT
Let’s begin!The first stage of our game is called «Self-portraits».
 Now, the second game «Baiga». Let’s see who is the fastest. Dear
participants you should answer the questions, but remember who raises the
card first and gives the right answer will receive a score.

 And now listen to our jury. Let’s count scores of our participants and who has
less points will leave our game. (называются фамилии)Thank you for your
activity. You may take a place there.
 Our next game is «Kokpar». I think you know what it is. In this game our
participants will solve riddles. Who are the fastest those will be winners.
1- Dear jury, we want to know the results of the 3rd game. Please! It’s a pity,
but who has less scores has to leave our game.(называются фамилии)
2- Well, we continue our game. The next stage is called «Polyglot». Dear
players, you should complete the following proverbs and the proverb must be
translated into Kazakh and Russian or you may give the equivalent.

Theme:  Our Motherland is Kazakhstan
Aims: -to develop the  students’ interests in the subject of  English, to widen  students’ scope ( country
knowing) according to the intercommunication by subjects: Geography, History.
-to develop communicative skills and abilities through extracurricular work, to cultivate  the feelings
of love and responsibility to Motherland.
Visual aids: the posters, the book exhibition about the Republic of Kazakhstan, the symbols of RK
(national flag), a tape, the anthem (cassette), the geographical map, tables.

Presenter 2: Today we gathered here to choose the best students of the school. Our intellectual game
will include:
1st  round: Baiga
2nd  round: Polyglot
3rd  round: Kokpar
4th  round: 4 subjects

We ask  the questions  and the one  who answers the first will get 10 points.
Presenter 1: 1) Where is the Republic of  Kazakhstan situated? Give  geographical characteristics?
( Kazakhstan is situated / is located in the central part of  the Eurasian landmass)
Presenter 2: 2) What is the area of Kazakhstan and  with which countries does it  border? ( The
territory stretches from the lower reaches of the River Volga in the west to the Altai  Mountains in the
east. The total area covered  by  the republic  is over 2,7 million square kilometers. In the west and
north, the  RK borders with the Russian Federation, in the south with  Turkmenia, Uzbekistan and
Kyrgyzstan, in the east with China.)
Presenter 1: 3) How many people are there in our country and what countries taken together would fit
into our  republic’s territory? ( There are about 16 million people. Such countries as France,
Portugal,Spain, Italy, Greece, Sweden and Finland could fit into its territory.)
Presenter 2: 4) What is the official language of the country? ( The official language of the country is
Kazakh.)
Presenter 1: 5) How many rivers are there in the RK? Which of them are the biggest of all? Name the
main rivers. ( The RK has almost 85,000 rivers , the biggest of them is the Irtish. Main of them  are the
River Ili, the  Syr- Dariya, the Ural.)
Presenter 2: 6)How many lakes are there in the RK and which of them are the biggest?(There are
almost 50,000 lakes in the republic.The biggest ones are  Balkash,Alakol,Sasikkol, Markakol.The
biggest lake is the Caspian sea.)
Presenter 1: 7) On what principles in the  Constitution of the independent  RK based? ( On the
principles of pluralism and separation of powers  within unified  secular state)
Presenter 2:  8) Who is the head of  State and  Chief Executive? ( The president of the RK)
The 2nd  round  is  POLYGLOT

Presenter 1: The  4th  round  -  4 subjects:  Choose the  subject  which  you  like. Each  question  has 
the points  according  to the difficulty.
GEOGRAPHY:
20 points : How  many lakes  are  there  in  Kazakhstan?  ( around  5,000)
30 points: Where  is the  lake  Jalanash situated?(Kokshetau,the region in the north of KZ)
40 points:How many main climatic-vegetation zones are there in Kazakhstan?  (4:wooded
steppe,grassy or open steppe,semi-desert and desert)
       
HISTORY      
20 points: When did  the  rebellion  against  the  tsarist  rule  in  Kazkhstan  led  by Amangeldy 
Imanov  happen? ( in  1916)
30 points: When  was  the  first  President  of  the  Republic  elected?  (in  1991)
40 points: When  was  the  official  residence  of  the  President  built? (in  1994 )
 SPORTS: 
20 points: When did  Kazakhstan  become  a member of  the  World  Olympic  Committee?  ( in 1994 )
 
Conclusion: It’s time to finish our game. The jury will speak about the results of the game. And we’ll
know who the winner is. Our congratulations and giving the prizes.Thank you for your participation.
