PISA or Programme for International Study Assessment has been established as ‘one of the main measures of how successful education is in many countries. PISA aims to measure how well 15-year-old learners are prepared to meet the challenges of today’s knowledge societies. 2. Knowing the importance of preparing for the PISA, the Project MAABTIK (Making Akeanons Acquire Better Techniques for Improved Knowledge) was launched as the Collaborative Project for Science, English and Mathematics subjects, The Purpose of this project is to help the 15-year-old learners, specifically those who will be part of the PISA test to conquer the challenges and become champions as they excel specifically in Reading, Numeracy, and Scientific Literacy. 3. In relation to DepED Aklan will conduct a Division Orientation on the Development of Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) — Aligned Skills Enhancement and Testing Materials’ on October 27, 2021 (Wednesday) via MS Teams. This activity aims to provide Science, Mathematics, and English teachers background information on how to develop authentic PISA — aligned test that will be given as drills to the learners, 4. Participants to this activity are the CID Chief Education Supervisor (1), Education Program Supervisors in Science, Mathematics, and English (3), OIC-EPS for LRMDS (1), and three (3) teachers from each of the 90 Secondary Schools in the Division of Aklan. The official list of participants is attached.5. The three (3) participants in every school must be gathered in a venue wherein internet connectivity is good. School Computer Laboratory may be used for this Purpose, but for health and safety reasons, participants of same school must use separate laptops or computers and must sit at least 2 meters away from each other to eneure proper social distancing. Compliance with health and safety protocols are 10 be observed as articulated in the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Omnibus Guidelines on the Implementation of Community Quarantine in the Philippine with amendments as of June 03, 2020 as well as the existing health protocols in the locality, 6. There will be NO REGISTRATION FEE. However, food allowance, training materials, and other allowable expenses of the participants will be charged against HRTD funds subject to its availability and the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. 7.
