2. SAFETY PRINCIPLES AND RULES
Read this manual thoroughly before the first use of the device. Failure to comply with safety
regulations contained in this instruction manual may result in loss of warranty.
Only cables provided or sold by ElproSys company must be used.
The device must be protected from the rain, moisture and sunlight.
The device is not intended for use by people (including children) with compromised mental,
physical, sensory capacities or with insufficient experience or knowledge unless closely supervised
and instructed by a person responsible for their safety.
When using electrical equipment, ALWAYS comply with basic safety precautions.
The device should not be used for any other purposes than those specified in this manual.
Only authorized service center can service the unit. The warranty does not cover damages caused
by improper exploitation of the unit, failure to comply with this manual, unauthorized alterations
or repair carried out by an unauthorized person. Before cleaning, repairing or any maintenance
work, ALWAYS disconnect the unit from the power supply.
The device is intended for use both indoors and outdoors.
The device should not be exposed to excessive smoke or dust.
Do not touch the screen with a sharp object, doing so may result in malfunction or damage.
In case of a chipped or cracked touch screen, do not use the device. Any damages to the glass
screen resulting from improper handling will exclude any warranty.
The device should be cleaned with a dry and soft cloth. Do not clean the device by spraying
or immersing in water.
Disconnect the unit from the power supply before cleaning the unit or any of its part.
ATTENTION
This manual does not take into account local regulations. The user is solely responsible for the
compliance with the local regulations.
ATTENTION
Any repair work must be carried out by ElproSys company or its authorized dealer. Failure to
comply with it may result in loss of warranty.

4. THE FIRST USE
DiagProg4 delivered to the client remains inactive and is a demo version. In order for the device
to be fully active please complete the following steps.
1. Activation
AUTOMATIC ACTIVATION
In order to activate DiagProg4 connect the device to WIFI network a select from DP4 menu:
SETUP → DOWNLOAD UPDATE/ACTIVATION
Device will automatically check for new updates/ activations on the company server and download
it on microSD card. If download succeed device will be automatically restarted.
MANUAL ACTIVATION
In order to activate DiagProg4 manually activation file (with *.dpp extension) received directly from
ElproSys company or its representative must be uploaded to the device.
2. Registration
DiagProg4 device can be registered using DIAGPROG4 MANAGER PC tool. It can be downloaded free
of charge from manufacturers website.
System requirements:
Operating system: Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10.
RAM: 1 GB (Recommended)
Free disk space: At least 2 GB (Recommended)
Software requirements: .Net Framework 4.5 or above
ATTENTION
Submitted registration data is stored in DiagProg4. Submitted data is entered permanently - it can’t
be edited or altered. Stored data can only be altered by ElproSys employee or an authorised
representative.

6. MULTI-TOUCH SCREEN
Tapping, pressing with fingers — Few simple gestures is enough to fully use all the programs in the
device.

8. SIGNALING LEDS
POWER Red light indicates that the unit is connected to the power supply.
NETWORK Indicates WiFi network connection.
9. BUTTONS
Most buttons in DiagProg4 are virtual buttons on the display. Actual buttons „Top”, „Bottom”,
„Accept” and „Cancel” are located on the cover of the device.
„Bottom/Back”
Button that allows to move downwards in the menu
button
„Cancel/Return” Button that allows the user to cancel or return to previous
button function in the menu
In addition buttons may change its usage. In that case, information will be displayed on the screen.

12. POWER SUPPLY
Recommended power supply voltage for the device is 12V. Power supply socket is located in the
upper right corner of the unit.
For more detailed information on power supply please go to “Technical data” section on page 21

13. MEMORY CARD
DiagProg4 supports microSDHCTM memory cards with the capacity of a minimum 4GB and up
to 32GB. It is recommended to use only memory card provided by ElproSys or its authorized dealer.
The use of different memory card may result in loss or damage of stored data.
Before using the machine for the first time SDHC card has to be formatted with FAT32 system
ATTENTION
If new SDHC card is used it has to be formatted in FAT32 system. Otherwise SDHC card will not
be detected by the device and it will not be used.
ATTENTION
ElproSys company is not liable for losses resulting from misuse of the damaged memory card
including loss of data.
WARNING
It is not recommended to insert or remove memory card while DiagProg4 is still switched on.
Otherwise memory card and data stored on the card may get damaged.

14. WIFI CONNECTION
Wi-Fi function enables to connect to Wi-Fi network access point and provides Internet access. Wi-Fi
network provides fast Internet access within the range of a wireless access point. Information about
selected WiFi network is stored on SDHC card. Information will not be saved if SDHC card is not
inserted.
This device uses non-harmonized frequency and is intended for use in all European countries.
WARNING
Do not disconnect USB cable if DiagProg4 device is still connected to a PC.

17. DISPLAY FIRMWARE UPDATE
Display firmware update is downloaded automatically.
User has to select from DP4 menu:
SETUP → OTHER SETTINGS → TFT Update
After successful firmware update icon will no longer be displayed on the screen.

20. DIAGPROG4 TEST
EXTERNAL INTERFACE TEST
Diagprog4 user can use professional tester in order to test I/O lines. It can easily check its proper
functioning.
In order to do that please connect tester to system connector and also connect power supply.
The final stage of the test is shortened or extended report of protocols from measurements
and a summary with recommended further actions.

24. TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Technical support can be obtained via e-mail or directly by contacting our representative.
Software update
Updating software to the latest version enables access to the latest functions and critical updates
and this guarantees proper functioning of the device.
Software update can be done automatically by using Wi-Fi connection or SD card.
ATTENTION
Do not switch off the power supply while updating software.
File management
PC-Link (USB) between computer and the device allows data transfer from SD card in the device.

25. WARRANTY
The device is covered by 24 month warranty. The repaired product will be shipped back to the
Customer within 14 working days from the date of arriving the item to our facility. The warranty
covers product defects caused by faulty parts and / or manufacturing defects. Latent defects
revealed within the warranty period will be removed free of charge
Manufacturer reserves the right to select either to exchange or repair faulty device.
