Steps to create new Load-Balancing connection for SAP-ERP on SAP-HEC Cloud enviornment

1. Before proceeding please ensure FortiClient SSL VPN Client is installed properly on your Laptop/Desktop
and you are successfully logged in with your credentials.

Steps to verify if you are successfully logged in to VPN server:


i) Press ‘Windows + R’ keys.
ii) In Open Box type ‘cmd’ and press Enter

iii) Check if following hostnames are giving successful ping by running command as belwo:
ping vhmheecpas01.hec.mahatransco.in
ping vhmheecpap01.hec.mahatransco.in
ping vhmheecpap02.hec.mahatransco.in
ping vhmheecpap03.hec.mahatransco.in

If you are getting successful ping response as above, you can proceed.
2. You have to edit services file at ‘C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\’ with Administrator privileges following
below steps:
i) Browse to following path
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\

Create a directory namely ‘BCK’ and copy+paste services file in this directory to take backup.
ii) Open Notepad with Administrator privileges

iii) Open file ‘C:\Windows\System32\drivers\services’

You need to make following entry in services file at the end and press ‘Enter’ after the entry.
sapmsECP 3601/tcp
Comment/remove any other entry starting with sapmsECP. You can comment entry by putting ‘#’
before entry. Save the file and take restart of the system.
3. Open SAP Logon PAD software & Click on ‘New Connection’

4. Click ‘Next’
5. From ‘Connection Type’ dropdown choose ‘Group/Server Selcetion’

6. Enter following values in ‘System Connection Parameteres’


Description : <Custom Text As per User Convenience> e.g. ‘SAP-HEC-ECC PROD’
System ID : ECP
Message Server : vhmheecpas01.hec.mahatransco.in
After entering above values Press ‘Tab’ on Keyboard. It will fetch ‘MSETCL’ in Group/Server.

7. Click on ‘Finish’ and you can check if you are able to launch SAP-ERP on new SAP-HEC cloud environment
by double clicking on new connection created. This new SAP Logon Pad connection is to be used
for SAP-ECC access only after successful Go-Live on SAP-HEC.
8. Now please check if you are able to login into existing SAP-ERP using SAP Logon PAD connection
as before.

If you are using SAP Load Balancer connection for SAP Access and getting problem for
connecting our existing system, then replace ‘C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\services’
file with file you have backed up in ‘C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\BCK’ folder in step
2(i) above.
