Prompt

Overpopulation of urban areas has led to numerous problems. Identify one major
problem and suggest ways that governments and individuals can solve it.

The Writing Process

This paper will be written according to the writing process. You will submit pre-writing
assignments (brainstorming, outlining), drafts, peer feedback, and a final version as part of
this writing process. Here are the submission deadlines for each part of the process:

Outline – due Wednesday, May 31

Introduction Paragraph – due Saturday, June 3

Body Paragraphs – due Saturday, June 10

Conclusion Paragraph – due Saturday, June 17

Peer Review - due Wednesday, June 21

Final Draft - due Friday, June 30

Formatting
Drafts (including the final) must be typed in Times New Roman size 12, double-spaced,
with 1-inch margins. You should label each assignment in the upper left-hand corner with
your name, assignment title, and date.

While APA citation is not required for this essay, you should still appropriately make
reference to authors/articles/etc. in your essay.

Guidelines

● 5 Paragraph Essay with Introduction, 3 Body Paragraphs, and Conclusion

(approximately 2-3 pages)
● Include at least 10 Academic Word List words (in bold or italics)
● Be original work written by you - plagiarized papers will not be accepted
● The essay will be graded using the Essay Rubric
