Koala

It is a species of diprotodont marsupial, endemic to Australia.

They sleep 18 hours a day and do not sweat, their name means without
water because they hydrate themselves with eucalyptus leaves that are
toxic to other animals.

Their life span is 12 years and they mate in summer. They feed on
eucalyptus leaves, but also eat vegetables and mistletoe leaves.

Their mating time is 30 to 36 days, they can have 5 or 6 pups


throughout their lives.

There are 3 subspecies of koalas: the Queensland koala, the Victorian


koala, and the New South Wales koala.
