gnomes: produce fabric dyes and various chemicals, oils, glues, lotions, potions,
inks, laquer and liquor, paints, sealants and stains, waterproofing, etc, anything
powdered or liquid, for almost any effect, also paper.
-gnomes will sell to anyone, but the more you seem to need whatever you're trying
to buy, the more they'll make you pay for it. The more they need whatever they're
trying to buy, the more they'll offer you for it, fair being fair.
hobbits: produce soap, harvest orchard and vegetable crop surplus, sheep for wool
and mutton, chickens and eggs, ducks, turkeys and geese.
-will trade with anyone, and do so, but they charge elves a premium for soap,
roughly double price, so they're a very rich culture.
dwarves: produce stone and metal as raw materials, and finished stonework and metal
tools, and salt.
-dwarves will sell to anyone, except elves. If elves want dwarven goods or
materials, they have to buy them either second hand, or from trade merchants,
usually humans. Dwarves will buy goblin goats and linen, gnomish products, hobbit
soap, and orchard fruit, human livestock and grain, orc wool felt, leather, horn
and will climb over each other to get orc stonework(the secrets of which they're
forever trying to decipher), but refuse to buy anything from the elves, saying they
might do so, if the hulder offered trade, because they hate the rest of the elves
as much as the dwarves do.
orcs: produce fine flint, crystal(gem) and slate work, bone, leather, wool, felt,
burlap, wood carvings, horn, dairy product preserves and certain liquors, pottery,
delicacies(list in culture recipes) occasionally they'll sell meat, but very
rarely. only if they have an injured animal to put down.
-orcs don't use coins, or anything metal. THey will trade goods or raw materials
for goods or raw materials with anyone, so long as whoever approaches them follows
their ettiquet, they mostly buy elf teas, human glass, and dwarf salt. and resell
some hulder elf products, for great profit.
wood elves: produce tea and fine wood work, orchard harvest, honey, beeswax, ink
and paper.
-wood elves will sell to anyone. even if they don't have the money on hand, but if
the bill comes due and you can't pay, they'll hunt you down and take you as a slave
in lieu of cash. They buy goblin linen, rather than deal with the sun moon and high
elves to get silk, They buy soap from the hobbits, dye from the gnomes, felt from
the orcs, and dwarf metalwork from human merchants, but little else from anyone.
high, moon and sun elves: produce silk, fine metalwork, essential oils, perfumes
and cosmetics, glass and fine pottery.
-these three groups will sell to anyone, except each other. They will pay fair
price to anyone selling anything they need, but mostly buy from gnomes, dark elves,
wood elves and hobbits.
dark elves: produce spider silk, alchemical potions, poisons, mushrooms, fine
metalwork, ink and paper.
-dark elves will only sell to other elves, but are forced to buy from gnomes and
hobbits, for the necessary items that only they can produce.
hulder elves: produce the best bows, the strongest ropes, the best teas, the most
sought after herbs and spices, the best honey, and alchemical plants.(they're
vegetarian)
-trade their tea for orc stone arrowheads, wool felt and dairy products. Hulder and
orcs don't use money or metal. Orcs are the only people the hulder will trade with
openly. because the orcs won't teach them to make stone tools, they won't teach the
orcs how to grow and refine tea.
