Conditional Clauses Chain Game

Teacher Instructions
1. Arrange students in a circle. All students can be in the same circle, or you can have several smaller circles.
2. Pass out one sheet of paper to each student.
3. Show students the first three sentences of the chain. The end of the first sentence becomes the beginning
of the next.
4. Ask students to pass the paper on to the next person in the circle. The next person has to write the next
complete sentence.
5. Students repeat the exercise until the activity is complete.
6. Review the answers. Which was the funniest? Which was the scariest? Which is the most realistic or
impossible?
7. Check errors with the class.
