This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) defines the general rules and good practices required for waste management. 1.2. It will help supervisors and workers to control and reduce the risks associated with handling and disposal of waste whether potentially hazardous or non- hazardous 1.3. This procedure has been developed in line with the OSHAD CoP 54.0 Waste Management 3.0 July 2016 and OSHAD CoP 1.0 Hazardous material 3.1 June 2018. 1.4. Environmental agency requirements are to safe and sustainable collection and flow of wastes as appropriate for the specific type, classification and commensurate with the Waste Management. 4.5. Itis applicable to all AADC staff and contractor workers. 2.0 Principles 2.4. The SOP explains the practice of classification and management of wastes including the safe handling, storage, transportation and disposal thereof. 2.2.
