It has been claimed that workers over 50 are not responsive

to rapidly changing ideas in the modern workplace and that


for this reason younger workers are to be preferred.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Over the last few decades a heated debate has emerged on whether Youngers employees are
more capable to cope with the latest changing or of ideas on the workplace in comparison with
the one that are over fifty years old. Over the next paragraphs I will develop my the ideas that
support my point of view over the this issue given.

First of all, it is true that in the modern world we live in, to maintain a successful business is
mandatory to keep it updating up to date with the latest trends.To do so we add such as
adding new technology devices or even learning different ways to produce or sell products,.
Tthis changing time has produced severe troubles problems on the adaptation process by the
employees, nevertheless, a research has revealed that in last few decades among the
companies that had not coped properly with this were running in its 80 per cent by employees
in their 35 years old. Furthermore psychologies maintain that regarding to ability to handed
and endure with changing depend on personality traits more than is the age of the person.

Secondly, the experience provided with veterans workers is essential at time to take tough
decision, they are expertise to foresee economic crisis as experience has offered them
something quite valuable that only the time could give as wisdom, which this is another
advantage in comparison with younger employees as its well-know that plenty of companies
have found themselves in bankruptcy or out of budget by chosen wrong ways to increase its
profits.

To conclude, I will say that age is a not a barrier to keep older employees out of a company, as
they not only have the capacity to lead a business in a better way but also they can manage
quite properly the change that the industrial world has been exposure to.
