GENERAL Lineman’s body belts furnished to REB specifications shall conform in all respects to the physical and performance requirements of this standard. The text, figures and reference to other standards supplement each other and are considered part of the standard. MATERIAL ‘An REB Lineman’s body belt shall consist of a belt cushion made of tanned leather, a waist strap made of 6 plies of vulcanized neoprene impregnated filament nylon webbing, a D-saddle and Pocket tabs made of neoprene impregnated nylon fabric. Tool loop shall be double riveted harness leather. "D" rings and buckles shall be made from heat-treated drop-forged or pressed steel. All OSHA regulations for power utility lineman body belts shall meet or exceed (OSHA 1926.959). DIMENSIONS Overall dimensions of REB lineman body belts are shown in Figure 1.and other dimensions defined as follows: Waist belt strap: 134" (44mm) wide with 9 punched holes 1" (25 mm) apart Tool loop: 1¥2" (38 mm) wide Belt cushion: 4¥%" (11 cm) wide Weight: complete belt assembly approximately 4 pounds (1.8 kg). FINISH ‘The REB linemans body belt shall be affixed with a permanent metal tag stamped with the model number, serial number, *D" ring size, date of manufacture and name of manufacturer. GENERAL Lineman safety straps furnished to REB specifications shall conform in all respects to the physical ‘and performance requirements of this standard. The text, figures and reference to other standards ‘Supplement each other and are considered part of the standard. MATERIAL REB safety straps shall be made of six plies of vulcanized neoprene impregnated with continuous fllarrent nylon fabric. The two center plies shall be of 2 red color to show wear. Single tongue ‘adjustable buckle and snaps on each end shall be heat-treated drop-forged alloy steel. All OSHA regulations for power utlty lineman safety straps shall be met or exceeded (OSHA 1926.959).
