to maximize densification and improve mechanical properties of ceramic composites.

Methodology:
The investigation will be carried out in several stages. First of all, an
exhaustive bibliographical review will be carried out to understand the theoretical
foundations and the latest research in the field of electric field-assisted
sintering. Next, an experimental equipment that allows the controlled application
of electric fields during sintering will be designed and built. Samples of ceramic
composites will be selected and prepared to carry out experiments, varying the
electric field assisted sintering parameters. The sintered specimens will be
characterized by microscopy techniques, mechanical tests and analysis of physical
properties. Finally, a comparative analysis of the results obtained with those
obtained by conventional sintering techniques will be carried out.

Expected results:
This research is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of
electric field assisted sintering and its impact on the manufacturing of ceramic
materials. Experimental results are expected to demonstrate improvements in
densification and mechanical properties of ceramic composites using electric field
assisted sintering compared to conventional methods. These results could have
practical applications in the ceramic materials industry and open up new
opportunities for the design and manufacture of high-performance materials.
