As you all may be aware that Constitution Day is observed on 26th November, 2022 to commemorate the
adoption of the Constitution of India. On 26th November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the
Constitution of India, which came into effect from 26th January 1950.

As a part of celebrating Constitution Day this year, INDIAN LAW INSTITUTE in association with the Department
of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of India is organising ESSAY COMPETITION on PAN PAN-
India basis on the topic “If I were
ere the Mem
Member of the Constituent Assembly”

Merit/ Participation Certificates shall be awarded to all the winners and participants from Department of Legal
Affairs, Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of India.

Important Dates

Start Date: 7th November, 2022 (Monday)

End Date: 10th November, 2022 (Thursday)

Terms and Conditions

 The Competition shall be in HYBRID MODE (Online/ Offline) and it is open to all Indian students studying in
Law Colleges / Other Universities/ Institutes across all the States of India.
 All entries must be submitted on the website of the Institute (www.ili.ac.in).. Entries submitted through any
other portal/ medium/mode will not be considered for evaluation.

 Entries should be in PDF Format and content of the essay should b

bee in about 2500 words.

 A participant can send one entry only. In case it is found that any participant has submitted more than one
entry, all the entries will be considered as invalid.

 Each entry should be original. Plagiarised entries will not be considered for evaluation and will be treated
as invalid.
 List of selected candidates will be displayed on the website of the Institute on 11th November, 2022
(Friday). The selected candidatess will make their presentation in HYBRID MODE (Online/ Offline) from
14th November, 2022 to 19th November, 2022 according to the list uploaded on the website.

 The Institute reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the Competition and/or the Terms &
Conditions/Technical Parameters/Evaluation Criteria etc.
