 What is a Proof-of-Concept?
• Goal: To find out whether the idea is technically feasible

What is the Purpose of a PoC?

• Validate the practicality of an idea
• Save money, time, and other resources
• Convince stakeholders to invest in the idea
• Get an idea about the impending risks from early on
 What is a Proof- of - Concept (PoC)?
• The main purpose of a proof of concept is to test a product’s technical
side or design concept, not to test its whole feature set.

• Since a proof of concept isn’t a full-fledged product but only a

physical implementation of one of its parts, it isn’t shown to users.

• All testing on a POC should be conducted within a company/ lab.

Based on the results of this testing, you can draw conclusions about
whether it’s sensible to develop the actual product.
 What is a Prototype?
• A prototype is the visible, tangible or functional manifestation of an
idea, which you test at an early stage of the development process

• While a POC shows that a product or feature can be done,

a prototype shows how it will be done.
• A product prototype is a working and interactive model of the end
product
• allow you to create a visualization of how your product will function
 What is a MVP? ( Minimum Viable Product)
• An MVP is a minimal form of your complete product that is tested in
the market

• This allows you to learn how your users will react to your product,
before you waste a lot of money and resources building something
they don’t want or need.

Basic technological components are integrated with reasonably realistic
supporting elements so they can be tested in a controlled relevant
environment
Representative model or prototype system, which is well
beyond that of TRL 5, is tested in a relevant environment.
