Abstract: This research paper presents a comprehensive geospatial analysis of the relationship

between climate change and coastal erosion. With the increasing global concern over climate
change and its impacts, coastal areas are particularly vulnerable to the effects of rising sea levels,
changing weather patterns, and increased storm intensity. This study utilizes geographic information
systems (GIS) and remote sensing techniques to examine the extent and patterns of coastal erosion
in a selected region, aiming to understand the underlying drivers and spatial distribution of this
phenomenon.
The research methodology involves collecting and analyzing a variety of data sources, including
satellite imagery, historical maps, coastal topographic surveys, and climate records. These datasets
are integrated and processed using GIS tools to delineate coastal erosion zones, identify areas of
high vulnerability, and evaluate the relationship between environmental factors and erosion
patterns.
The findings of this study reveal the significant impact of climate change on coastal erosion. The
analysis shows that areas with higher rates of sea level rise experience more pronounced erosion,
particularly in low-lying coastal regions and areas exposed to increased wave energy. Human
activities, such as coastal development and alterations to natural sediment dynamics, also contribute
to the erosion processes.
Furthermore, the research identifies specific hotspots where erosion is concentrated, providing
valuable insights for prioritizing coastal management efforts. The results highlight the need for
implementing effective adaptation strategies, such as beach nourishment, coastal vegetation
restoration, and sustainable land-use practices, to mitigate the impacts of coastal erosion in the face
of climate change.
By combining geospatial analysis with a comprehensive dataset, this research contributes to our
understanding of the complex dynamics between climate change and coastal erosion. The findings
have implications for coastal zone management, land-use planning, and climate change adaptation
policies. The study underscores the urgency of proactive measures to protect vulnerable coastal
areas and emphasizes the importance of continued research and monitoring to assess the evolving
impacts of climate change on coastal environments.
