observations in the case currently under investigation. I understand that making false statementsor reportspursuant to a police
investigation is a criminal offense under MCL 750.411a.

NARRATIVE

I have only been living on Andy’s block for a few months, so I can’t say
I’ve gotten to know him real well, but he seems like a nice guy. The
kind of neighbor you wouldn't be afraid to invite over for a beer or
something like that.
Anyway, he came over to borrow a tool that Friday night right around
10 PM. I know it was 10 because Dateline just ended. Andy asked for a
torque (I think he said, ‘tor-kay) wrench to borrow. Told me he'd been
fixing his brakes for the past few hours which I don't doubt because
he was kind of sweaty and out of breath. (He's a big guy) We had a
laugh about how these things always go. You spend hours on the job
then just as you’re about to be done, that’s when the something
breaks and you can't finish.
I gave him the torque wrench and that was it. He seems like a good
guy. I told him to stop by anytime he wanted to work on cars or have
a beer, but I haven't seen him again since then.
