Khrystyna Mykhailichenko is a seventeen year old Ukrainian pianist who was born in

Crimea. She began to play the piano when she was only four and her parents quickly realised that
their little child was extraordinarily gifted.
The variety of piano repertoire Khrystyna has played during the last 7 years is up to 15 recital
programmes including: Beethoven’s “Hammerklavier” and Brahms’s op.118, Chopin’s op.10, op.25
Rachmaninov’s First Sonata and Third Concerto. In her 12 years in music, Khrystyna has had over 40
performances with symphony orchestras and has played recitals in New York, Washington, Paris,
Brussels, Antwerp, Bruges, Vienna, Berlin, Bayreuth, Newcastle as well as in the concert halls of the
National Philharmonics of Ukraine.

In March 2016, Khrystyna met the international concert pianist Professor Alexei Grynyuk who
became her teacher and mentor.

At the outbreak of war in February 2022, she fled to Poland with her mother and sister before
settling in the UK in June. As well as continuing to travel extensively for performances, she will
continue her education at the Royal Academy of Music in September 2023.
