WORKING EXPERIENCE
 Nigerian Mining Corporation, Jos, Nigeria (Geologist I - Senior
Geologist) 1981-1986
Worked as a mineral exploration geologist in gold and tin deposits
exploration projects in Nigeria. Carried out various assignments on
geological mapping, stream sediments survey, soil sampling, prospect
mapping, core drilling and logging, and underground mine mapping and
sampling in various locations in Nigeria, most notable of which are:
 Alluvial gold exploration in Itagunmodi area, Ilesha, Osun State
(1981).
 Primary tin exploration in Ririwai Mine and in some ring complexes
of Bauchi State (1982).
 Primary and secondary gold deposits prospecting in Isanlu-Egbe
area, Kogi State (1983).
 Detailed mapping and core drilling of the Waya old gold mine, Yauri,
Kebbi State (1994-1995).

of the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS) at Benin, Nigeria,
16th – 22nd March, 2014.

 Second Prize of the annual ELF/NMGS (Nigerian Mining & Geosciences


Society) Award. A prize for the second best paper presented during the 41 st
annual NMGS conference (2004).

 Plaque/Certificate of Honour awarded by the Nigerian Association of


Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) for contribution to the development of
geosciences education in Nigeria. Award made during the 21st Annual
International Conference of NAPE, 16th-21st November, 2003, Abuja.
