OFFER OF SCHOLARSHIPS BY THE GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA FOR

THE 208/2q24 ACADEMTC YEAR

The Ministry of Technical and Higher Education (MTHE) wishes to inform the public that the
Government of the People's Republic of China is offering scholarships to suitably qualified Sierra
Leoneans to pursue Undergraduate, Master's, and Ph.D. programmes in China under the
following fields of study:

REGULATORY CONDITIONS

L. Applicants MUST be less than 25 years of age when applying for the Undergraduate
programmes and have obtained a good WASSCE certificate
2. Applicant for Master's degree MUST not be above 35 years of age and possess a good
Bachelor's degree
3. Applicant for the Ph.D. degree MUST not be above 45 years of age.
4. Upload a scanned copy of traveling document with validity not later than March L,2024
5. Upload evidence of acquired education certificates and transcripts.
6. Nominated candidate is to submit Medical Certificate not older than six months
certifying that the candidate does not suffer from any infectious disease and this must

T.Upload a Study plan or Research proposal (A minimum of 200 words f91
Undergraduates, 800 words for Postgraduates students)

10. Completed application forms with all supporting documents should be submitted to the

PROVISIONS COVERED BY THE SCHOLARSHIP

t. Free Tuition fees

2. Free University Dormitory or Accommodation subsidy
3. Monthly Stipend starts from the dbte of arrival in china :

Undergraduate - CNY 2, 500;

Masters'- CNY 3,000 and Doctoral- CNY 3,500
4. One-time round- trip ticket
5. Comprehensive Medical insuranc

Pleose bear in mind that the above-mentioned provisions are only o contribution to the
living expenses of the Scholorship holders, lt doesn't fully cover oll living expenses and qs
such, students are expected to contribute to the rest of the linancial cost during their stoy
in Chino.
