1.Ubangiji mai jinkai ne, mai alheri,

Allahnmu mai rahama ne.

Ubangji yakan kiyaye kasassu,

Sa'ad da na shiga hatsari ya cece ni.

SECOND READING

A reading from the Letter of Saint Paul to the Romans 6:3-9

Brethren:

Do you not know that all of us who have been baptised into Christ Jesus were baptised into his death?

We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death so that as Christ was raised from the dead by
the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a
death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.

We know that our former man was crucified with him so that the sinful body might be destroyed, and
we might no longer be enslaved to sin. For he who has died is freed from sin. But if we have died with
Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him.

For we know that Christ being raised from the dead will never die again; death no longer has dominion
over him.

A READING FROM THE HOLY GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JOHN 11:21-27

At that time:

Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. And even now I
know that whatever you ask from God, God will give you. Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise again.
Martha said to him, I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day." Jesus said to her, "I
am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and whoever
lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?" She said to him, "Yes, Lord; I believe that
you are the Christ, the Son of God, he who is coming into the world."
