DirectDVD is a powerful video player for your computer's DVD drive.

The program is probably


better than the one that's pre-installed, offering more features that enhances video already of
the highest quality. In addition to basic DVD playback, you'll find a variety of unique and very
useful functions. The program is capable of converting DVD to MP3 for saving selected content to
your hard drive. DirectDVD includes an awesome 16-band equalizer that allows you to edit live
audio and EQ information in real time. In addition to Regional Settings support, the program
provides closed captioning and SubPictures in 32 languages. If you have the required decoder,
you can also use DirectDVD as a Karaoke machine.
The program complements playback by enabling you to create favorite clips from your DVD. You
can save up to six "banks" of clips, each consisting of custom tags and disc positions as well as
the corresponding chapters and titles. You can also skip those annoying warning messages that
are displayed at the beginning of DVDs, and take advantage of parental control levels.
DirectDVD's interface is fully customizable and provides advanced features such as frame
stepping, frame-accurate seeking and reverse play. Further, the program adds Digital Theater
Systems (DTS) and Sony Dynamic Digital Sound (SDDS) audio support. This demo version
expires after 30 days, and restricts DVD playback to five minutes at a time.
