For International Medical Graduates
Although the CPSO (College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario) no longer requires to complete TOEFL for
licensing purposes, applicants to clinical fellowship training programs in the Department of Medicine are required
to successfully complete the TOEFL where:
your first language is neither English nor French, or
your medical school and language of patient care was in a language other than English or French, or
you have not taken a minimum of 4 years postgraduate training in North America.
Please note the director of our fellowship program may choose to waive the TOEFL. This is assessed on an
individual basis.
*A minimum of six months from the time your paperwork is received in congenital program office is required to
process your Canadian Visa.
