IRR 1.0 BACKGROUND


IRR 1.1 The LOCAL CHAPTER ACADEMIC TILT is a first-time academic event in
the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants Days (JPIA Days). Willing
participants from each Year Level in the JPIA-VMUF gather to showcase
their wits and abilities to solve different problems that are based on CPA
Licensure Examination subjects. This is in line with the very goal of the
Organization, which is to promote academic excellence.

IRR 2.0 OBJECTIVES


IRR 2.1 To promote academic excellence among the students in order to help them
deepen their knowledge in the field of accounting.
IRR 2.2 To allow members to have a personal test of their knowledge in a friendly,
fun, and competitive atmosphere, further enabling them to have an idea
about their current academic standing as compared to other JPIAns.
IRR 2.3 To help the participants discover their strengths and be aware of their
weaknesses in different board-related subjects through different academic
competitions.
IRR 2.4 To promote camaraderie, familiarity and sportsmanship among the
participants from the different year levels.
IRR 2.5 To increase the involvement and participation of members in the activities
of the Organization.

IRR 3.0 GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS, ELIGIBILITY, AND COVERAGE


IRR 3.1 The VMUF LOCAL CHAPTER ACADEMIC TILT is open to students who
are bona fide members of JPIA for the Organization Year 2022-2023 and
a student of any year level who is enrolled in any of the following courses:
a. Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
b. Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting

IRR 3.3 Each Year Level may send a maximum of ten (10) participants for JPIA
Cup Series.

IRR 4.0 GENERAL CONTEST RULES AND MECHANICS


IRR 4.1 The Local Chapter Academic Tilt of the 1st JPIA Days will be done face-to-
face at BA Building (Room 101 & 102) on March 30, 2023.
IRR 4.2 Contestants must arrive on time at the specified venue. Late contestants
are still allowed to join the competition. However, they are no longer
allowed to answer the questions they might have missed.
IRR 4.3 Contestants are strictly required to wear any of the following: JPIA Shirt.
Failure to comply in the stated dress codes shall prohibit the contestant/s to
join the competition.
IRR 4.4 Before the start of the competition, the facilitators will relay their final
reminders. Only ball pens/pencils, basic calculators and clean solving
papers. This will be checked by the facilitators.
IRR 4.5 Any contestant caught cheating is considered disqualified from the
competition.

IRR 5.0 CONTEST RULES AND MECHANICS – JPIA CUP SERIES


IRR 5.1 The JPIA Cup Series will be composed of three (3) rounds namely: Easy,

Average, and Difficult. In case of a tie after the difficult round, clincher
questions shall be given to the contestants until the deadlock is broken.
Time allotment, corresponding points and number of questions are as
follows:

IRR 5.3 Any contestant who violates the said provision for the 1st time shall be
given a first warning; for the 2nd time the participant shall be given its last
warning; and for the 3rd time the participant shall be disqualified.
IRR 5.4 The quizmaster shall read each question twice.
IRR 5.5 The participants should raise their answers through the provided papers
with choices letter A, B, C, and D.
IRR 5.6 Timer will start after the quizmaster says the word “Go”. When the timer’s
up, the alarm will ring and the quizmaster will instruct the contestants to
raise their answers. Any contestant who fails to comply will receive a
warning and his answer may be forfeited.
IRR 5.7 The contestants must never lower their boards unless the facilitators have
finished recording their scores.
IRR 5.8 The top five (5) contestants accumulating the highest points shall be
declared as the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th placers.
