ABSTRACT
In electronics, image processing is any form of signal processing for which the input is an image, such as photographs or frames of video; the output of image processing can be either an image or a set of characteristics or parameters related to the image. Most imageprocessing techniques involve treating the image as a two-dimensional signal and applying standard signal-processing techniques to it. With the help of Matlab image processing toolbox of image processing we can develop AUTOMATIC STREET LIGHT CONTROL which works according to the size and motion of the Object.

INTRODUCTION
In this project, camera is used to detect the motion. The camera we are using in this is simple webcam. As soon as the motion is detected the lights will gets ON automatically otherwise it will be in power saving mode. When the vehicle passes the bridge its speed will be calculated, if it exceed the speed limit siren will give the indication of over-speed and at the same time our gate is also closed. Image of the vehicle get stored, which can be used to make CHALLAN and send to the defaulters home. As by noting the information of the owner of the vehicle. Parallel port communication is used to operate the LED, SIREN IC, DC MOTOR and LDR.
